Who doesn’t love breakfast.. even for dinner!! Ok.. maybe not everyone, but I do! And I am admittedly very particular about where I will order my breakfast from!! Huddle House in Hazlehurst is always my first choice. Our meals are typically prepared perfectly ( no one is 100% perfect.. 100% of the time.. and in the instance it isn’t, the issue isn’t something serious or even anything that I would need to complain about. A special shout out to our “Huddle Momma” Melanie! She goes above and beyond every single time we’re there. From the moment we walk in, she makes us feel welcome and cared for. She always has a smile, makes sure our orders are right, and checks in without ever being overbearing. The rest of the staff are also wonderful and do a great job, but we’re very fond of Ms. Melanie! After the Hurricane, we depended on the Huddle house for meals, a place to come in from the heat and connect to the internet in order to get work done and paperwork to our customers in town. Melanie reminded us to make sure we were drinking enough water while we were there and to take a moment to rest and breathe! Melanie and the other staff do their very best to make you feel at home even when they are beyond busy. We appreciated the care and compassion that they showed not only us but also our community, that it was really a no brainer when we were approached to advertise on this years mugs. Thank you Ms. Melanie and the rest of the Huddle...
Read moreWe finally decided to spend my husbands bday breakfast here.. idk what to say except Naomi. We showed up, seated in a timely manner. The entire section we sat in was so clean I’d probably play the 6 second rule (usually 3 seconds but that’s how tidy it was) The high chair we got for my little one was so clean as well. Naomi greeted us with cheer that made me feel like Christmas. I mean lemme get through Halloween babe. But i appreciated it for sure. She made sure my little one had a spoon and that my oldest (also young) didn’t have a knife in her silver ware set. Very logical about the menu, but I mean we already knew what we wanted. But she did help us out to figure out the best way for our littles to eat and share and swap their sides. For that I am so thank ful.
Food was sub par. Not her fault. If we could have been fed off her hospitality and attitude we would be over stuffed and napping bc she was just that dang good. We saw her cleaning her section all night and I appreciate that as a server myself. As busy as she was she never stopped checking on us. Never forgot a sauce or side.
I’ll stop through here every time I pass through just to get this mannerism and also bc my kids love her. What an experience, PLEASE, if you ever come here ASK FOR NAOMI!!!! What a babe I’m obsessed. I can’t wait to see...
Read moreWe did an online order. Ordered at 12:36 pm was told it would be ready by 12:59, well tack another thirty + minutes into that and we get our order which was overcooked fried eggs with no yokes, the hash browns where under cooked and greasy, the fruit cup had two thin slices of apple cut in half a nasty looking 3 1/2 pieces of tangerine and 7 or 8 small grapes, what a joke! Using the drive through was an awful experience, we spent right at $50.00, and couldn't even place an online order without leaving a tip (people we weren't being served by a waitress's service in a drive through, and furthermore when we do go in for a waitress's service we tip very well)!? I mean seriously! What an over priced rip off this place is! It is understaffed, was completely packed full, and couldn't keep up with inside orders let alone a busy drive through. If this had been our first visit to a Waffle House I would never give it a return visit. Thank God, we have actually been to...
