Chick-N-Headz — Restaurant in Heartland

Just moved to Crandall and found this spot at the 741 food truck park. The operators of this truck are very friendly. My daughter and I got the Lil Bit of Everything box. 1 chicken wing, 2 chicken tenders and 1 filet of catfish. My husband and I got the soul roll which had a chicken tender, Mac and cheese, greens and sweet potatoes inside an egg roll. Every piece of chicken and chicken tender was fried and seasoned to perfection. The fish was meaty and also seasoned extremely well. I could be wrong but I think the tartar sauce was homemade. It had amazing flavor and the dill added something different. Although I love all the items in the soul roll, I wasn't sure I would enjoy them in an egg roll and boy I was wrong. Even my picky husband loved it. Even the fries were good. Food was hot and fresh which is why I didn't mind the wait which was about 20 minutes. Overall the service was subpar, I was a little disappointed both days I went for funnel cakes. And egg rolls, and we're out both times.The mac and cheese was horrible the noodles weren't cooked and the cheese was meshed at the bottom of the container. The french fries were not seasoned and my bread was wet from the pickles and peppers being placed on top of it so I wasn't able to enjoy it. And the wait is a little long but the order is correct for the most part.

This is my second review update decided to go back again for dinner. Funnel cakes are now off the menu, as far as the chicken order, the chicken was abit salty and the bread was still wet from being under the pickles and peppers. The fish was fried a bit hard, the wait ended up being over 30 minutes instead of 20 minutes is...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stopped by ChickNHeadzTx and let me tell y’all… I got 2 pieces of catfish fried hard and they did NOT disappoint! 😋🐟 Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside – just how I like it. The French fries were the perfect combo too 🍟

The owners were super nice and welcoming, which made the experience even better ❤️ Great vibes, great food, and the prices were really good – definitely worth every penny. If you’re in the area, go treat yourself! 🙌
