We just ate the breakfast buffet at Janssen's Lakefront Restaurant and it was outstanding! I don't think I've ever seen such a spread of delicious food outside of a major city. They had your normal favorites like scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, waffles, French toast, biscuits, gravy, and cheese grits, but imagine my surprise to see Eggs Benedict, sausage and cheese taquitos, slices of spinach quiche, small bagels with a sort of shrimp bruschetta topping, and little crocks of shrimp & grits! The owner was manning the omelet station. They also had as assortment of pastries and a full salad bar. That starts at 9am, but then at 11am, they bring out lunch selections such as baked salmon, tri tip, loaded mashed potatoes, garlic spinach, and corn maque choux. They had specialty cocktails including a loaded Mimosa, but I had the spicy Bloody Mary and it was awesome. It was packed (I assume for the eclipse) but our wait was only 15 minutes. The service was great, everyone was so nice and friendly, and very attentive. They are selling eclipse shirts for $20 each. We will be here a week so I'm sure after trying all the establishments in the area, we likely will be back for our last dinner and hope for a window seat 😁

Got a love a place were you can dock your boat and go get some food. We were told it would be an hour wait but only ended up being 20 mins. We ordered the bang bang shrimp appetizer (nice and spicy like I like them), we also ordered the prime rib special with the salad bar. Salad bar was nothing special but fresh. My prime rib was a little over cooked. I ordered medium but got medium well. It has good flavor and the mashed potatoes and green bean sides were good. We were so full that we had to take a piece of their famous pies and cakes with us for desert. The carrot cake was the only one left so we took it! Made the decision easier since we didn't want cheese cake that night. Let me tell you the carrot cake was amazing... I will go back just for that alone! (Sorry no pictures it was a midnight snack!)

So lucky to try the brunch buffet! Arrived at 9am to a line of about 20 groups ahead of us. When they opened at 9am, they seated us quickly and took our drink orders. The buffet line went very quickly. Best omelette bar I've ever had! Don't miss the mini waffle covered in fresh strawberry compote and dipped in chocolate gravy. I made myself a Monte Cristo with cinnamon-sugar crusted French toast, ham slice, omelette slice and dipped in strawberry compote. Service and atmosphere are hectic, the door line gets confused with the buffet line, but it all worked out. Highly recommend, and I know why this is my brother's favorite breakfast place!

We've eaten at restaurants all over the country and eat out often. Sunday Brunch at Janssens was recommended to us by some locals, so we were looking forward to it. Then I saw some review on here that called it lame and expensive, and I honestly started having second thoughts, and worked quickly to develop a plan B. Well, two things that it absolutely WAS NOT was lame or expensive. It was honestly the ABSOLUTE BEST Sunday Brunch I have even been to. EVER! The best in the Universe. It was one in a quadrillion and deserves at least one thousand stars. The staff was super friendly and attentive, very welcoming. The food was amazing. Amazing Chef Mr. Tim at the helm of it all. BEST OMLET you will ever have. Waffles at many places, even the ones were you make it yourself use cheap batter and it make a dense sometimes chewy texture. These waffles were so perfect and amazing. Home made chocol gravy!!! Eggs Benedict! The pastries were better than any specialty bakery we've ever been to. This was an amazing culinary experience and one that you can't miss out on! This is in the top 99.9 percent of any restaurant and ever been to. By the way, I believe the buffet was 10.99 and we would have easily been happy with 28.99. Don't miss out! This is an unforgettable once in a lifetime experience of exceptional...

EDIT: Based off your response you are not taking anything serious or into consideration about how dangerous your business is to passerbys so I will leave this at 1 star.

The parking situation at this establishment is a serious cause for concern, as it poses a significant safety hazard due to its substandard conditions. Situated next to a high-speed roadway with a 55 MPH limit, the current setup presents clear risks. Pedestrians wander dangerously close to passing vehicles, customers dangerously reverse into traffic lanes, and hasty drivers pull out without caution, inviting potential accidents. Over the past year, I've personally observed several close calls, totaling at least 3-4 near accidents, all stemming from the reckless behavior of patrons seemingly oblivious to the fast-paced environment.

Prioritizing safety over convenience is crucial, regardless of the establishment's history in its current spot. I would strongly advise considering measures such as reducing seating capacity to alleviate parking strain, advocating for a reduction in the speed limit in the vicinity if feasible, or exploring the possibility of relocating the restaurant to a more suitable location that meets its operational requirements. Until such changes are implemented, it remains a potential accident...
