Out of the way, well worth the drive. One of my absolute favorite things about Montana is that you can climb in your vehicle (or a friends) and head out to the mountains to do absolutely nothing but enjoy the view and maybe stop and enjoy your favorite fishing hole. But after you need a good meal and conversation. I've been to the Lazy Beer works a couple times. And I will stark rave about their choice of Pub Foods and delicious Salads. I'm not sure I've been to a place that serves fried Zucchini alongside a lovely prepped Gyro.
On to the food! I had the Gyro this night, served open faced with all the prep, olives and Taziki sauce. A nice Mediterranean vibe while served in Pub food fashion. It was absolutely delish! Our Appetizer Sampler plate didn't last too long! We chose the Jalepeno Poppers , mushrooms and fried Zuchinni. Light and crispy and not overly drenched in oil these babies were spot on perfect.
Topped off with a beer or Ale it's the perfect close to a long day of Montana "ing"
The crowd: The crowd here seems to be a mix of locals, Fly fisherman and fishing guides. Everyone seems laid back and generally chit chatty.
This doesn't appear to be a party Pub, so if you're looking for that crowd you likely won't find them here. But if you're looking for a no problems, good beer, good food kind of place..This is your stop!
Prices are on point for the area with appetizers running at about 10-12 a plate, but grab the appetizer trio and get a savings of around 14.00!

Read moreI stumbled into this wonderful place after one of the worst days I ever had on the road. The kind and professional bartender gave me directions to a gas station, and when I returned, she brought me back to life with endless diet sodas to cure my caffeine withdrawal! The food was abundant and wonderful, and the chef, Michael, is a darling! Who would have ever thought there would be a Saucier in a remote northern Montana restaurant? His delicious sauces are known far and wide, and people come in just to order jars of their favorite sauce to take with them on the road or for special occasions. He is extremely friendly and professional, and the whole experience...
Read moreMy husband and I decided to take a drive and find a small local restaurant to have lunch. We stopped in Hardy Creek but their kitchen was closed until dinner so we went on to Wolf Creek and found the Lazy I Beerworks. The food was delicious and the portions were large. They have a great variety of beers on tap also. The server was alone but did as good a job as she could keeping up with tables. So glad the restaurant in Hardy Creek was closed or we never would have found this gem of a restaurant. Will...
