Treasured Grounds — Restaurant in Hemingford

It seems to me that many reviewers here say things that are not exactly true because of that small village "Don't ruin our reputation" mindset, and for that people are willing to lie, or at the very least allow themselves to be deceived. That one gets lots of food for the price here is a joke, or else they don't get out that much to experience what a lot for the money means at restaurants. Many 70 and 80 year old Hemingford elders will quietly confide that you really don't get that much for what you pay for here. In all fairness, the food IS pretty decent as is their excellent coffee, having eaten breakfast here 4 times, though each time I was disappointed with the amount of food received compared to what it cost. This is the quintessential small town cafe'. Food is very good quality. Front of house service is exceptional! Atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming, and your fellow patrons offer genuine smiles and friendly conversation. I really can't say enough about the service. Frankie is one of a kind. If you are blessed enough to have a cup of coffee and a meal in this place your life will be enriched because of it. My wife and I drive over 1,100 miles to have seat in this establishment and we are never disappointed. Back in Hemingford again and we took our youngest Grandson to a birthday breakfast. Food was just as good as last time (see below) and the staff just as friendly. Highly recommend you try this place.
