Part of our dinner was good My husband had the chicken parmigiana dinner, he said it was good but nothing special Definitely had enough sauce just didn't drain the noodles very well so the sauce got a little watery. The piece of chicken was really small but at least it had a good flavor. I ordered half of a steak & cheese hoagie it came with fries that looked to be fresh cut. I ordered gravy to go with my fries.....the gravy was $1.50!!!! The sandwich came & it was so salty I almost got sick. I gave it my all to try to eat it thinking it was just that first bite, WRONG!!! I got through 3-4 bites & just couldn't do no more. The server offered to have them make me another. & I told her no there was no way I could attempt another. The manager came by to tell me they were remaking my sandwich when I told her I already told the server I didn't want another she got rather upset. The server came by again in about 5 minutes gave us our check & said they took my sandwich off, I thanked her. And she said she tasted a piece of the meat & couldn't believe how salty it was. Afterwards I noticed they didn't take the $1.50 gravy charge off!!! Maybe they thought I was going to drink it?? BTW the fries were great at least the 5 I ate. We also ordered a 4-cut seafood pizza (to take home) & a small appetizer combo. Pizza was pretty good, we make it at home & have had it at other restaurants. It needed something just not sure what it was, maybe garlic. Bottom line is food wasn't bad but when ordering ask if they use a season-salt or salt in preparing the dish. If they do, ask them not to use it that you can add it yourself...
Read moreGreat food. We've lived in the area for 16 years, came from Ohio and could not find a place that had chicken and jojos. Drove by their location on rt 30 amd saw the sign for chicken and mojos. I wondered if the mojos were the same as jojos. I found out they were! Next take out dinner we had was to get the chicken and mojos. Both were just as I remembered from in Ohio! The location on Thomas road is a little closer for us so we come here. We returned for dinner eating in. I had the baked cod with vegetables and a side of wedding soup. My husband got the chicken parm. We also ordered the bruchetta as an appetizer. Everything tasted so good! I'm always hesitant to order baked cod because it can be too much lemon on it or it's rubbery. I took a chance here. It was neither rubbery or too lemony. It was just perfect! I also have to comment on the iced tea they have. Most places make it too strong. This was perfect. It was unsweetened tea, but it did not even need any sweetness added to it. We will definitely be back to try more of their dishes and for sure be back to order more chicken and jos...
Read moreGiannilli’s has a great selection of pizza, appetizers and Italian food. I haven’t been here in a long time, and the food hasn’t changed. It is still great quality food with friendly staff. The only reason I gave it four stars was the outside decor. When we pulled up, there were two large yellow signs, and one of those red tall inflatable people with the waving arms to get peoples’ attention. The restaurant use to have a classy feel, and the outside kind of ruined that. I ordered the bread sticks topped with cheese as an appetizer and then a half of an Italian sub with the fresh cut fries. The bread was very flavorful, the sub was delicious, and the fries were fantastic as usual. The sauce for the bread sticks adds additional flavor and is a great supplement. The fresh cut fries are not the type of fries you would expect at this type of restaurant. They remind me of potato patch fries from Idlewild or Kennywood on a smaller scale. The waitress was very friendly and the restaurant was very clean inside. If you like wings, they have the best sweet and hot wings...
