The rating is being VERY generous. I see some other reviews and think Wow I wish I would have just checked them first.

A couple weeks ago, my1st time calling to order pickup it took a few minutes waiting (the phone was placed on the counter) ordered a burger and asked for onion rings instead of fries. I said not to worry about ketchup/mustard as I’ll have it at home I’m not a wasteful “packet” person since she said they don’t put it on the burger. Waitress seemed rush to get off the phone and said 25 minutes I thought WOW they must be really busy it was just after 5p after work driving back home a little out of the way, but thought this is gonna be a good meal. I arrived sat in the car for a few minutes and figured I’ll just go in 17 min total went by. I walk in & there is literally maybe 5 people in the whole place and a singer starting to set up (he seemed the nicest of all). 1st red flag hence ordering. Just asked “you have the pickup” from the girl standing behind the counter talking with a couple older regulars.-(not very friendly) The food was already up there apparently the order not even checked I just paid and left. Felt more like a bother even though I said it’s my first time here moved to the area a couple years ago.
Pulled out of the parking lot & started my trek home about 5 min in thought Hmmmm smells Ok wonder how those onion rings are? Ugggghhh she didn’t change the order to onion rings. (she was too busy yapping to listen and take my order over the phone) & I even gave her a $1.00 tip for CARRYOUT! also a handful of ketchup/mustard packets even mayo! 😡 I was too far away now and just wanted to get home from a long day working. I’m not that person who wants to come back for a refund. The burger patty was pretty decent not the best I’ve had, but the BUN was CRAP. I gave the fries to my dogs I’m not a fan 👎🏼 If you can’t take a minute to take an order over the phone then don’t do deliveries/pickup. First visit to the new PLP. The interior is fairly stark. The tables are small, and close in proximity to each other. The menu is basic, and they had run out of pizza at 6:15 on a Saturday night. The steak bite were very good, the burger was very good. One order of chicken strips came out absolutely cold, as were the boneless wings. The fries were hot and tasty. I believe they’ll improve as time goes on. Service was very good, the beer tap list is minimal. EDIT…. we’ve returned a couple of times, hoping to see improvement. It’s just not good enough. Our visit on 3/8 was will be out last. 6:00 pm, a busy parking lot, 8-9 people at the bar, and two dining tables occupied. Little did we know there was a party of 20 in the back room. No warning that our food may take some time, since the party was their priority. We stayed patient, telling our server it wasn’t her fault when she kept apologizing. After more than 50 minutes, our burgers came with warm fries. One burger cooked perfectly, the other barely cooked, let alone medium well as requested. Then we get a check with no itemization. So much potential, yet PLP lacks so much, regardless of all the window dressing...

We waited so long for this place to open. Gave them a minute after grand opening even. And everything we ordered they were out of. Then when we did get our food, the sirloin was well done when ordered medium, server watched obviously thought that even tho we’re upset was an issue and gave us $1.80 off a 17.00 sirloin. Then the appetizer we ordered we thought she forgot about because there was a whole thing about how they didn’t have sour cream .. the appetizer came after our meal had been there a few minutes. I don’t usually leave without a receipt but I paid cash and got out of there. Awful experience awful food. After all this waiting for something to go in there that’s a shame.

I will say though regardless if I thought it was good service or not. The bartender did not stop, she was working, moving, stocking, she did try and it was obvious besides the saying about the well done steak she could physically see was over done and did nothing about besides take that $1.80 off.
