Texas Best Beef Jerky — Restaurant in Henrietta

Enroute from Amarillo to Trophy Club Texas. This roadside diner popped up on Google Maps. The SE highway direction we were on , I don't recall any road sign indication the Diner was near other then we were on the lookout for it as we were driving and spotted it across on the other side of the split highway. Took the median road crossing the highway and glad we stopped ! Was greeted as we entered the Diner and we both ordered the Pork Chops. They were cooked to perfection and delicious. Sides complimented the Pork very fine. Not certain there really was a rattler in the cage and wasn't going to get any closer...

So I got the 4 rib plate with Cole slaw and veggies. Both of the sides were GROSS! The coleslaw was dry and tasteless and the veggies were hard! I was barely able to eat half. Tried to bring it up to staff. One of them said "if you've eaten more than half we can't refund". I had not eaten more than half of ANY OF IT. I spoke to the the manager finally. The rib plate was about $20 so I asked if I could get 2 extra ribs so I'm getting my moneys worth. The manager kindly agreed! But I did not appreciate being told I ate more than half. I'm not trying to get free food! I just want food worth paying $20 for that's...

A favorite and tradition for many years. Every time business takes me through there I look forward to a hot link sandwich, fried peach pie, and root beer plus I load up on Turkey jerky, smoked cheese and hot links to take home.
