Joy Delite Ice Cream Shop — Restaurant in Henry Clay Township

Ordered American cheese on my sloppy joe and didn’t get it. Ordered ranch with my zucchini planks and didn’t get it. Food items were disappointing, very bland, and did not taste good. Ice cream was average. We will 100% NOT be coming back. For the $23 I paid, we could’ve had Cracker Barrel instead of just the ice cream and a few side dish items we had. Service is very slow for 2 adult workers there and no other customers. The one lady didn’t even know how to take a debit card payment and had to wait til the other lady could do it. No workers were wearing masks or gloves. The last I checked, covid-19 is still a worldly problem and highly contagious. There was a child around age 7 in the kitchen/food prep area. Having little children in the kitchen and touching customers food is concerning too since children don’t wash their hands as frequently as they should. Lovely little ice cream shop that is open late which makes them the place to go if your wanting some ice cream or food past 9:00pm! They have a very large selection of ice cream item to choose from and their portion sizes are very generous! All the food I have ever ordered has been great.the waits never to long and from what I have noticed the place always seems to have a decent amount of customers no matter what time you go past. I'm always open to pay a little extra if they have a "maximum amount", like dairy queen tight-wads, but come on, what I was handed at this place makes dq look extremely generous!! I asked for a "LARGE" ice cream cone, got a SMALL at best!! Next time, I'll wait & stop by Livvy's in Cresaptown! Livvy's small cone makes this, joy delite place a "sad disappointment".
