Hereford Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Hereford

tl;dr: it’s a bar, don’t expect excellent food or service. Both were adequate and hit the spot. Was open during a snow storm. No big complaints.

Ordered a 12 oz. ribeye with fries, haystack salad+chicken+Parmesan, a Mexican stack up (chili-based appetizer), and a cheesecake. I got 3 drinks.

Food and drinks came out promptly. Steak was slightly over cooked but not a big deal. It was missing the sauce I asked for, which I got later. Everything tasted good.

The haystack salad was missing the tomatoes, carrots, and corn, but had some tortilla strips which it was not mentioned on the menu. The appetizer was missing the tomatoes, onions, and cheese. It also had the tortilla strips. I didn’t bring up the missing ingredients in these. Steak had a butter on it which I think was vegetable oil. Cheesecake came out with strawberry syrup even though I picked lime. Maybe the cheesecake was lime? Idk. Rated 2 stars for all this despite the food all being tasty, since I count the missing ingredients towards food and not service.

Service was okay, got better towards the end. I give this place A LOT of points for being open during a winter storm.

Decor is bright, minimalist, open with many tables, a pool table, video game table, a small music venue, and many televisions. Room for 400 people. Open warehouse style layout.

Total bill was $92.49 + $20 tip. I was pretty hungry. Forgot to take any photos of the food, but it all looked nice. Nothing...

Horrible service. Went to have drinks. Took 30 mins for our server to take our order. That's after we flagged down a couple of servers and they told us it wasn't their table. Finally ordered a bucket of micholob ultra beer (which is supposed to be 6 beers). 20 minutes later she comes comes back and tells us they're out of ultra. So we ordered coors light. Manager comes right over and says someone left the cooler open so the coors light got warm. So we ordered half dos equis and half budlight. They bring the bucket and there's 3 dos equis and 2 ultras. Went up to the bar and they said no only 5 come in a bucket. They did go ahead and give us the 6th beer because our server said 6 came in a bucket. But if the cooler was left open why is it only the coors light got warm. Don't make sense. Then the bartender, Karen, is in such a rush going back and forth to the pool tables that she's not watching where she's going. My 9 month pregnant daughter was playing pool and Karen ran right into her. Didn't stop and say im sorry or anything. All the bartenders kept mean mugging me the whole time. I was hired to work there, having 7 years experience bartending, but they decided to let me go. I'm not gonna be treated like that as a customer. Definitely do not...

Five stars all around for our experience at Hereford Bar and Grill!! I had a large group of people who were visiting different sites through the panhandle region and needed a place for lunch one of the days. I had a variety of dietary needs so it was important to find something that everyone could get what they wanted. I found Hereford Bar & Grill through a google search and I am so glad I found them! They were great in working with me prior to our visit so when we got there, our table was ready to go. Our server did a great job handling all of the orders and keeping drinks refilled. Excellent customer service for our group!

I did not hear one negative comment from our group about the food. I personally had a cheeseburger with onion rings and it hit the spot! Others got pasta and even butter chicken! I got a chance to try the butter chicken pizza and it did not disappoint!

I visited other areas that week and made sure to mention the restaurant to others so they would know about it when in the Hereford area. We will definitely be back on future...
