Overall, just meh... 1st time here, waited in line 10 min, no big deal. Placed order and waited another 20 min. Luckily we were entertained by the roof/window leak in the dining room. We got to watch this young man who worked there hold a towel up to the leak as if a dishrag was going to soak up all that water. Not the brightest crayon in the box, but easy on the eyes. After waiting so long we just wanted to get on the road. We then, of course, realized we're missing a cheese curd. The food was hardly warm and old tasting like it was cooked twice or microwaved. To the owner: we can tell the difference. Please let your staff know "fresh, fast, quality food = repeat customers and repeat customers = job security. Do it right the 1st time and customers won't return frustrated and angry. "I love being a target for customer complaints" said no one ever. Just get it right and save yourself the hassle of remaking orders and cut food cost. Take a tip from In & Out Burger. Check the bag for order accuracy before handing it over. I've even been to Taco Bell's that do this. They confirm it with you before you drive off to make sure your a** ain't coming back until next visit. People can be mean when they're hungry, you have their money and you mess up their food. Give employees incentives for doing a good job (ex. Cut food cost by 10% and get a pizza party for both AM & PM Shifts or a gift card to somewhere other than work). From the looks of your reviews in addition to what I experienced, it appears there's room for inprovement. I'm from Lodi, CA (The birthplace of A&W). The crew there works together seamlessly and everything is fresh and properly temperatured, including the famous (and delicious) root beer on tap next to the soft drink machine. As the owner, it may benefit you and your managers to take a trip down there and witness firsthand the difference. Maybe the 2 stores can share experiences, success stories and tips with each other to network, team build and help improve their own restaurants. Also they have lots of neat memorabilia...
Read moreThe service here is very subpar and the food is priced way above what’s standard for A&W. My freeze was ok. It’s the service, or the lack thereof, that gets one star. First it’s pay at the kiosk. The women will not help you if you go up to the counter. Mind you, all I ordered was a freeze. After ordering, I stood watching 4 women in the kitchen, one actively making food for a drive through customer, the other three just standing around. After ten minutes one of the women who was standing around looks at me waiting, rolls her eyes and starts on my freeze. When I go to hand her the number that they have for the self serve kiosk, she states “you need to put that back there.” So I left it on a table. You want to give attitude, you can get out from behind that counter, chatting and doing absolutely nothing and come get it. Verdict: over priced food and horrible employees except the one who was actually making food. She didn’t talk to the others for the most part. Probably because she was working like she was getting paid to do unlike the other lazy stragglers in...
Read moreWe just stopped here for lunch. The food was fine. Most of the staff was nice. But, it was one of the strangest experiences I have ever had. They were out of ketchup packets near the drinks. So, i went up to the counter to ask for ketchup. The guy standing at the counter looked right through me. Another man walked up and asked for ketchup. I said that is what i am needing too. He quickly waited on that man and grabbed him a container full of ketchup. The man told him that he could only take packets because he was getting in his car and to just give it to me. I said, "yes, I'll take it. " He looked straight at me then turned his head. Another employee told him to give it to me. He turned to take it back into the kitchen. The other employee took it from him and then gave it to me. It was really really strange. He clearly had a problem with me, but i have no idea...
