El Tejocote Mexican Restaurant and Grill — Restaurant in Hernando

Watery salsa, below average mexican food, cramped on the inside and everytime we call in an order to go there is a problem with it. They also charge you to use a card and charged me extra when I asked for more than one bag of chips because I ordered multiple dips. When I asked why I was charged I was told no matter what I order all I get is one bag of chips. Then I asked if I could split the order and get chips with each separate order and he said that he was going to charge extra for the chips and salsa if I did that. I really wish this place was better because it's convenient but Hernando is only 15 mins away and Olive Branch is 20 and I can get all the good Mexican I need there....

I loved this Mexican place, I travel lot to this state for work and I would say is one of the top Mexican restaurant food I’ve visit here. The food was really fresh. I ordered a taco vegetarian salad and all the vegetables were cooked correctly and it was really enjoyable the taste. Specially the cucumber and mushrooms just simply great combination of flavors. Im also vegetarian and I loved this placed had a menu with vegetarian dishes.The staff was really friendly and took great care of us as well as the owner super friendly and professional. We've eaten here many times. Sometimes food is fine. Tonight, zero flavor. I just reheated my mother's takeout for a chimichanga. Like, the most tastiest rich food ever. And it was gross. Bland. My 1000% mexican friend said the steak be ordered tasted the same, like nothing. I am so fed up mexican restaurants making whatever they want with zero flavor and it rarely matches what the menus describe and picture. Ugh. I boil chicken for my dog, zero seasoning...... so I put the chimchanga...
