The Cotton Patch Cafe — Restaurant in Hertford

The shrimp and catfish plates are worth every penny. I ordered extra shrimp last time and made a joke based on a true story about needing extra cause my wife says she doesn't want any now but will eat all mine later... so not only does she give me a ton of extra shrimp but extra sets of cutlery and sauces and even an extra side as well. To top it off despite going above and beyond to be kind she BARELY even charged me for the extra shrimp much less the extra side!...

Finally decided to try this place after seeing others enjoy it. We ordered the country fried steak with mashed potatos and cream gravy and green beans. Unfortunately the mashed potatoes were sour. I called to let them know and they checked them and thanked me for calling and hung up. I feel like when an eatery serves you spoiled food you should offer a reimbursement or another meal. We had to toss 3 dinners. With so few options around here it was...

It was raining super hard yesterday. I was just ready to get home and not have to worry about fixing dinner. I remembered someone saying this place had a drive-thru, so I called and ordered the turkey and dressing special to grab on my way home.

The food was great and even better that I did not have to get out of my car...
