Went there Fri night. Good thing we got their early. It filled up fast, and there's a reason for that, the food was amazing. There were 6 of us, we all said our food was exceptional. The staff was quick with the chips, salsa and bean dip refills. I have one suggestion, I ordered the tostada a-la-cart, (which is what I eat at every Mexican place I go), they should heat the plate like they do for all other meals. I also had a bad drink, everyone else had various margaritas, I had sangria. I tasted it, thought it tasted off, but didn't say anything. Took a few more sips, just wasn't right. When we were leaving, I took the drink to the bartender stating it tasted bad. He smelled it, the took a small taste and agreed. They offered me a new drink, a dessert, but we were on our way out. I said that's OK, I just wanted them to know, so they didn't serve it to anyone else. We ordered enchiladas "Divorced" which were flavorful, tender and every type had a distinct flavor. We also ordered the Trio Platter where you get an ultra crisp chile relleno, Chile Verde pork, and Colorado pork. The meat was tender and the sauces are AMAZING. I made sure to bring an extra container of the chile verde sauce all the way home to Dallas.
Overall the ambiance was great and our server was very friendly and helpful. I wish this family would open a restaurant in Dallas, it would give most places a run for...
Read moreI called in my order 2 hrs ahead of time and confirmed with the restaurant my husband would be picking it up at 5pm after work. Gave them his name and phone number. Ordered everything down to the appetizer etc. We were very excited to try the new restaurant in town. My husband arrived and they didn't have our order. The restaurant blamed it on me stating I called the wrong place, Lincoln. Showed them I called Hickman, they started to make our food, but just said it was a different crew that must have taken the order. They rushed my husband out the door after he got our food. Not impressed. First, don't blame the customer. Second, offer to follow up with someone...
