My husband and I planned a small, intimate ceremony for our wedding with just immediate family. It was short notice, but two weeks in advance, my mother-in-law called around places, and Arcadia Moon said they would be able to accommodate us (we were only 11 people). They told us we would be able to have a small private room, I would be able to wear my wedding dress, we could take pictures around, and we could order off the regular menu. When I arrived with my husband, I had to walk through the regular restaurant in my wedding dress in front of the rest of the customers all the way to a table in the back by the bar. When the waitress came up to us, she tersely asked us what we wanted to drink. I was a bit shocked that we didnât even get a congratulations (especially since other customers were saying congratulations to us as we walked past them). Service was slow, their soda machine wasnât working at first, the food was decent. We had to order watered-down sweet teas until the soda machine started working again. None of it bothered me at first, because I was just happy to be with my husband and family after getting married. But afterwards, my mother-in-law told me that they got our reservation mixed up with another party, and they gave them the private room. She also overheard our waitress tell the owner that we âdidnât have a reservationâ and that we âjust showed up.â My sister-in-law told me she heard the whole conversation about the reservation and private room when my mother-in-law made the call two weeks prior. What was strange was that I also know my mother-in-law called back several times about the reservation to ask if we could bring some decorations and to ask other questions. My husband and I are planning a larger celebration for our wedding next year and, needless to say, we will not be considering Arcadia Moon. If youâre a bride and donât want your special day to be ruined, donât...
Read moreI have been coming to this place for a few years now because we are in college. When we first started coming I believe it was managed by someone name Jessie Green. He always gave us great service despite our young age and I always left the place satisfied. This is the first time iâve been here since Jessie left and i was very much disappointing. We walked in sat down and waited over 15 mins until we went up to the bar for service at which point one of the two servers said they would be with us in a moment. It took another 15 mins before we finally got some menus. We then realized that the menu has completely changed and are very disappointed with the change. There is not as much of a variety anymore. Once we got our wine and finished we asked a server for a check, she then said she would tell our server that we needed it (that never happened). We then we found our server and she said she needed to finish what she was doing and would be back. She never came back! I went up to the bar to ask for my check, after asking for my check she held up her finger and told me I needed to wait a moment. Once I went back to the table and reviewed my check I went back up to the bar with my card in hand and the check at which point she said in not a friendly tone âwhat do you needâ. I was able to pay my check and leave. A lot of my friends loved to go here and we gave them a lot of business. Needless to say we are very displeased in the changes that are being made and the service that was given. Just because we are young college kids doesnât mean we should be given less service than the other few patrons...
Read moreOn our dive up to the winery from the quaint frontage road we were so excited. The setting of Arcadian Moon is picturesque and beautiful. The deck is lovely and the venue is romantic.
Our experience beyond that was terrible. The wait staff appeared to be distracted, confused, and disinterested in serving patrons. We ordered a bottle of sangria, the waitress said she'd bring it to our table, but we sat there for 15 minutes until I went back in to check on it. It wasn't ready, but I was told it would be shortly, so I went back out to sit down. Our sangria's came a short time later which is when we ordered apps. Y'all, it took 45 minutes for fries and mushrooms. I know you might be thinking it was incredibly busy... It wasn't. It was 3 o' clock. Sure there was a relatively big group, but there were plenty of open tables with dirty dishes piled on them. After our appetizers came, with no silverware or napkins, we ordered 2 pizzas. The food was average to good, but our 2 pizzas came out 15 minutes from each other. My wife was done eating before I got mine.
Overall this was a bad experience. We probably won't come back. The scenery is serine and peaceful but the wait staff is chaotic, disorganized, and and generally lost.
If you're going only for drinks, you might luck out, but if you're going for food or apps you're better served going elsewhere first.
This was so dang disappointing. Also, they tacked on a $3.09 convenience fee. What convenience? I wouldn't mind paying the fee if I somehow felt like I was conveniences by going to Arcadian Moon, but the whole afternoon was an...
