We had dinner here last night with family. There were 4 of us and we arrived around 6:15. There appeared to be a line as there was a crowd at the door, but we got seated quickly and ordered drinks and appetizers. They brought us 2 rolls and said they would bring more when the fresh batch came out of the oven. The 4 of us split them and waited for our spinach-artichoke dip. It came with rolls because they were out of crostini. The dip was fabulous but would have been better with the crostinis. Then we waited. And waited some more. After about an hour our waitress (who was doing her best) came around and told all of the tables on our half of the restaurant waiting, that they were behind in the kitchen (duh) because they had run out of all the premade chicken and were cooking some more. Uh, we didn't order anything with chicken but apparently they were only serving them in order. Fresh rolls continued to come out of the oven, until finally, they ran out again and said they weren't making any more as it was an hour until closing time. By that time, almost 2 hours after we arrived, our food came out. Two of us said the food was fantastic and it was well worth the wait. One of us said hers was very good but.... And the last one, Eggplant Parmesan, came out burnt to a crisp. When we politely pointed it out to our waitress, she just said "yes I see that, I'm sorry." While we were there, at least five tables gave up and left. We all discussed that we hoped this was not typical because the area needs something like this and the food was delicious. Between that and the servers who were working their tails off trying to keep people happy, we will probably give it one more try. However, I can't help but think if management might have shown their face and offered apologies or discount coupon for another visit or even a dinner mint, it would have gone a long way in helping business. As it is, one of the tables said they won't be back, And I doubt that the other ones that walked out...
Read moreThis place is a must go!! Since they open two weeks ago, I have already been here three times! Bida, the owner, is so involved in the amazing atmosphere here. His daughters and other waitresses are nothing but A1! The food here is absolutely to die for! Tonight I came alone, where I ordered an appetizer and the shrimp scampi. When I ordered the appetizer, I had accidentally said fried mozzarella, instead of the fried ravioli.. I did not realize this until my waitress had brought me the mozzarella sticks. I was confused but then realized I ordered wrong (out of excitement to have their food, once again!), but Bida had overheard me. I told her that it’s okay and admitted I had made a mistake, but was going to eat them anyway because it was my fault. A few minutes later, my waitress came out with the fried ravioli, and said that it was on the house! I was blown away from that act of kindness, for it was MY mistake! Such an amazing place and environment. I have never been to such an amazing restaurant where the food is good, and the people here are absolutely amazing. Thank you Bida’s Italian! You guys are truly my...
Read morethe people are from another Italian place that used to be in blue springs not sure... but the food was delicious I had the seafood mix and it was delicious the bread starters were good along with the mushrooms... the mozzarella sticks were okay kinda bland but the sauce that comes with the mushrooms was delicious 😋 used it to dip my bread couldn't get enough and the reason why I couldn't finish my dinner but also had a lemon cake which wasn't an overpowering lemon taste but is was soft. I miss the old place in blue springs mostly for the Atmosphere bida is kinda quiet but our waitress was kind and kept up on drinks which is always a bonus mostly because I get thirsty for dinner. but its a good family restaurant and was a good choice to go for a quiet birthday dinner I know I...
