Buddy’s Soul Food — Restaurant in High Point

I was very excited about trying this restaurant originally. We came in after an appointment and decided to get the food to go. Imagine our surprise when 4 plates during lunchtime and 4 kool aid drinks was equal to an $80 some dollar bill. I ordered the oxtail plate and it was very salty. The flavor was salt and onions.. The mac and cheese was delicious though. The problem was that everyone had a complaint about their plates. The beef ribs were so tough that they were nearly impossible to eat, and the general consensus was that either it was over salty or underwhelming for the most part. The kool aid and the mac and cheese was the best thing about this food. I was very disappointed; so disappointed that it took more than a week to find a way to nicely word the dissatisfaction of the price and the food. The service was great also but I don't see myself going back. I felt like I was overcharged and underwhelmed. I had some time on my hands before catching another amtrak. The restaurant had two customers and I looked at the chalkboard for the menu items being served that day.
