What a disappointment! Based on some great reviews on here, my family decided to give Sapori a chance. We are certainly NOT going back. Unsure if we needed to, we made a reservation. Arrived and were sat immediately. Place was less than half full. Friendly server came over about 10 minutes later and we ordered water and she took our wine to uncork. Came back shortly and we placed our orders. Salads came out quickly with a surprisingly good (and large) garlic bread. And that was pretty much the last time we saw our server or food. After being told 3 times it would just be "a few more minutes" and being told that we "picked a bad night to come in," our food came out 1 hour 15 mins after we arrived. Server identified that my wife's meal was wrong, apologized and offered to comp her food, and offered to reorder her actual meal. After such a wild wait, she said to the server that she'd try it. After the server walked away, my wife asked me to feel the seafood and it was cold luke warm. Waited 5 minutes for the server to come back and check in before walking over to the counter. Asked to speak with our server. Shared the problem. I asked how long it would take for it to be cooked, she said since she wasn't cooking, she wasn't sure and walked back to the kitchen. Waited about 2 mins and then told another staff member that I was heading back to my table to eat before my meal went cold. While this review is more to give an idea of the lack of service and ability to serve the dining room they seat, I'll share that the Rigatoni Bolognese pasta was cooked correctly, but the "homemade meat sauce" listed on the menu tasted like meat with sauce on it, not meat that had simmered or picked up any bearing of sauce taste. Additionally, the tomato sauce with some cream advertised tasted like spaghetti-o cheese sauce from when I was a kid...do not order that! ... A few minutes later, server came out and said it would be "a few minutes." My wife shared that we'd take it to go and the server went into how they have a shortage of staff, a super busy dining room, and the like. We shared that we understood, but sharing that at ordering would have been a good idea and that we arrived before the dining room was even half full. Server came back with the check and the to-go meal. Open the bill and my wife's I correctly entered meal was still on the bill. Went to the counter to ask and server said that yes, her meal was on there because we had the food. I reminded her that she said the meal was comped and she denied that. I said fine, we'll leave the food behind to which she asked for a minute to ask her boss. Comes back with an offer to take $10 off as the best she can do. Two exhausted kids, a hungry wife, and 1 hour 30 minutes later I paid my bill and we left. Done. Parting advice: never tell a customer they picked a bad day to come to your business, don't lie about how long things are going to take when you see kids involved, don't say you're going to comp something and then fail to do it, despite how bad an experience a customer is having, you need to still service (napkins, water, check in, etc.) your tables...and understand that we're all rooting for your business to succeed, but that's really hard to do when this is the experience you...
Read moreThis is a pizza joint with a low budget but high effort dining room appearance. My wife and I had reservations for 2 on a Saturday night at 6:45. We arrived about 6:30 with appetites and read the sign on the door saying all bills have a 4% surcharge...keep in mind this is a BYOB pizza joint. The dining room was less than 1/4 full. The prices were high...very high ($24 for chicken parm? $5 sharing charge? 4% on top?) so I immediately assumed the food and service must be SPECTACULAR! We ordered and waited about 10 minutes for our side caesar salads to arrive (they are included with entrees) and they were the very sad (some chopped lettuce and a few croutons with a sealed 2oz souffle of dressing thrown in the bowl). Fresh baked bread arrived shortly after...this was the highlight of the "meal"...no doubt, the bread was good. Our salads were cleared and we proceeded to wait for 45 minutes without further service, food, or a wave from a server before we decided to leave. Not a single person in the restaurant came to check on us or set expectations for how much lobger we would have to wait for a chicken parm and a chicken francese. We were forgotten. We went to the counter to pay and they offered to wrap our food to go..."no thanks". Then they gave us a $12 bill for the 2 side salads. No one apologized, no one cared. No manager came out to ask what happened. I worked in hospitality for 17 years...this pizza joint should stick to slinging slices and cans of pepsi. Over-priced and under-delivered...this place stinks. Spend your hard earned dollars elsewhere. ...
Read moreWe (2) went on a Friday night. It was not crowded. The dining area is pleasant and nicely decorated. But this is, essentially, a pizza place with a dine-in area. It is BYOB and the beverage choices are limited. Our server was friendly and attentive. The service was fairly quick. We were in and out in about an hour and half. We had a shared appetizer, each had a main course that came with salad and a garlic roll. And we each took home a dessert for later. The food was fine. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't particularly great, either. It wasn't any better than we have had at other similar, less expensive, places. My dish sounded great on the menu, had many ingredients, but still somehow lacked any discernable flavor. It is outrageously priced, in our opinion. The prices far exceed the quality of the food. There is a charge added to the bill if you pay with a credit card. I have wanted to eat here for a while, but I don't have any desire to return any time soon. I will say, that the pizza choices seemed interesting. My husband and I will try some of those, take-out, in the future. If our experience changes, I...
