Pecina's Mexican Cafe - Hinton — Restaurant in Hinton

Sadly, this was not a good experience and we will NOT be eating there again. It took too long to get hot water to wash my hands with in the bathroom!! Think about it... if any restaurant takes more than 3 minutes to get hot water, the workers are not getting their hands clean to cook and serve you.

They got 1 star because they were generous with the chips and dips! The food did not have much flavor, I ordered a beef tamale, a chicken tamale, beans and rice. Both tamales were mostly masa with a thin strip of meat stuff in the center and the beans & rice were lacking seasoning too.

The waitress was sweet and brought what we ask for but she wasn't very well trained on waiting or checking tables in a timely...

I'm very glad I stumbled upon this restaurant. Our server was extremely polite. Immediately upon entering we were seated and served chips and 5 bowls of 3 different types of salsa and cheese dips, for just us two people! They were all delicious. There were limited vegetarian options, as expected, but they easily accommodated a vegan request as well. The number two combo was delicious and filling (considering I had already consumed 3 bowls of salsa and queso). If I'm ever in Hinton again, I will be...

Nice place, with okay food but I have to say this restaurant is a ripoff. I ordered a single order of fajitas for $17 which made 3 - 4 tacos it was mostly onions. Top dollar for a mediocre restaurant with small portions and chewy fajita. Ordered nachitos for my daughter. Price was $6 came with 3 chips covered in shredded cheese and some beef on top. Dish came with no sides again that was mediocre. Next time I'll just go to a steakhouse, prices are ridiculous. I highly suggest...
