Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Hobart Township

Do not go here customer service is very ugly!!!!! They ran out of mash potatoes left the kitchen to get hot water from some dark place.The time and date was 9-26 2025 3:30 pm and specifically a light skinned young lady that was working attitude was disgusting her behaviors showed she didn't want to be there, throwing chicken sandwiches into food bins like basketballs, like seriously that's someone food. She was turning her face up to customers was so uninviting and unpleasant. It took 2 guys 30 minutes to get their food. One guy only ordered 3 chicken tenders. I know this issue will not get resolved because it is Lake Station. After 20 minutes of waiting me and my family asked for a refund, and that took forever because the young lady issuing the refund shorted me $3.00 so we had to wait until she pulled out her phone to calculate and figure out how much of difference she owed me. They never even attempted to make our order which was only a 5pc - 2 can dine meal. When in fact there was fresh chicken just sitting. 6 workers including the manager couldn't get it done. I had to drive all the way to Crown Point to get better service. I was seated in less than 10 minutes enjoying my food. This Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen is inside a truck stop --1201 Ripley Street Lake Station, Indiana so it feels somewhat dirty. However, there were very nice ladies behind the counter, but they were burdened with telling everyone they were out of Mac and cheese and their new Premium Strawberry Lemonade/Chilled Strawberry Lemonade drinks. The chicken sandwiches were steaming hot as were the cajun fries.

The best part of the meal was their Blackberry and Cream Cheese Pie - a deep-fried, bubbly turnover-style crust with a piped filling of cream cheese and blackberry puree.

The pie came nice and hot. The crust has that thin, crackly, crispy layer from deep-frying with a standard flaky pie crust underneath -- but NOT overfriend like other fast food pies.

Inside, I found an even layer of soft, melted, slightly-sweet cream cheese next to a layer of sweet, tart blackberry compote.

Blackberry is probably my least favorite of the standard berry pie fillings. It tastes a bit more muted to me than say strawberry or raspberry. I think it's just particular to me though because other people seem to like it quite well and describe it differently than what I taste.

I would give negative stars if possible. I have never been treating so bad with so much disrespect in my life. I ordered a 5 piece combo and there was literally 2 people in line behind me and not a single customer in the place. I waited 20 minutes while watching the 2 people behind me get their orders and then when I walk up there to find out what the deal is (again not busy at allllll) the guy who took the order said we are about to drop new chicken now these in here are no good. So after 20 minutes and being completely dead they just now are going to start my food after I had to go back up to the counter to ask. I wait another 10 + minutes then literally watched the gentleman take the "no good" chicken and plate it with sides I didnt even order and try to give it to me. I said you just told me that chicken was no good 10 minutes ago and now your trying to serve it to me when you said you were dropping fresh chicken. I requested my money back and he just stood there ignoring me like I wasnt even speaking. I wasnt being rude or making any type of scene at all kept my cool and they treated me so bad I just couldnt believe it. No customer should ever feel how I just felt or get treated like I just did.
