I hate to post this but we had a terrible experience. We were super excited to have dinner here. We arrived precisely at 6:30, which was when our reservation was. We waited about 5 minutes for someone to greet us. And then we were asked if we would be willing to wait for 20 minutes or maybe 10. The reason given was that because the weather was so nice they had had a lot of walk-ins and they were really busy. We were not offered a place to sit or a drink. So, sadly, we decided to leave. A generous estimate would be that the tables inside and out were maybe a quarter full. The young woman working as hostess clearly had little training. I asked if they had a place we could sit and have a drink while we waited and she said, âI donât know.â. Unfortunately this was a really unpleasant and unexpected experience. We left hoping to find dinner elsewhere. I did comment that people who walk in should wait while priority should be given to those with reservations. Clearly this is not how...

Weâve been coming to this restaurant every summer for the past three years, and itâs become a tradition we truly cherish. A big part of that is because of Gregâour favorite waiter, who always went above and beyond. Greg connected with us on a deeper level than just service. He was warm, genuine, and made every visit feel special.
We were saddened to read some harsh reviews recently, and honestly, they donât reflect our experience at all. Yes, it gets busy around 5:00â6:30, but thatâs true of any great placeâespecially in todayâs world, where so many places are short-staffed.
The food is consistently amazing, and the natural setting adds to the relaxed, welcoming vibe. This restaurant isnât just a place to eatâitâs become part of the heart of our summer visits and a comforting part of the Metolius/Sisters area community.
Weâll keep coming back, but we truly hope to see Greg again one day. He made this place...

I ordered a carne asada taco ala carte as I wanted to try their carne asada (for me a good Mexican restaurant can be measured by the carne asada), but really wanted to try the Peruvian tamales as my main dish. Everything was fine until we got the bill, and thus the 3 stars. We were charged $14 for the single ala carte taco. It actually showed in the bill as $7 for a taco and another $7 for the carne asada. We took issue with our waiter but he just reaffirmed that's the correct price for a single carne asada taco. Ridiculous, and put a damper on an otherwise...
