A Hidden Gem with a Million-Dollar View and Unforgettable Prime Rib at B's Beacon! If you're seeking a dining experience that perfectly blends delicious food, exceptional service, and breathtaking lake views, look no further than B's Beacon. Located in Hope, Idaho, it truly lives up to its reputation as a hidden gem. From the moment you arrive, you're greeted with a warmth and hospitality that makes you feel right at home. The staff is incredibly attentive and genuinely cares about your dining experience, making you feel like an old friend. The prime rib is a highlight and a reason to visit. It is cooked to perfection, tender, flavorful, and satisfying. Portion sizes are generous. The entire menu features exceptional dishes. The Philly Cheesesteak is described as unique. The Mt Helens Ribeye is served with beer-battered prawns. Homemade crème brûlée and huckleberry pie are highly recommended desserts. The ambiance of B's Beacon is equally captivating. The historic building has been beautifully restored, offering a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Windows across the front and outdoor seating provide perfect views of the lake and mountains. You can enjoy the scenery while savoring your meal or listen to live music on the patio during summer weekends. B's Beacon is a place for lunch, dinner, or Sunday brunch, and they offer prime rib all day on Sundays. The overall experience at B's Beacon is worth it. B's Beacon comes highly recommended for an unforgettable meal with incredible food, exceptional service, and...

Building was historically interesting, odd jumble of art thst I think they sell for local artists. Our table was dirty, with food spilt into the sugar bowl and in a puddle around it (I tried to subtly point this out to the waitress who seemed miffed).

The Appetiser was good, well presented, nice flavours (tropical shrimp). The stake I ordered was cooked to my specification, but the rest of the plate had a strange, overpowering flavour in everything that I couldn't pin down. It wasn't horrible, just unpleasant and reminiscent of too many ingredients in a soup.

I was disappointed with the huckleberry pie. It was served with a scoop of ice cream at my request (I asked for ice cream or cream), and a with a squirt of readiwhip (which I'm allergic to). The crust of the pie was rubbery, and the sides of the pie had started to dry out, making the whole thing unappetising. I did try the filling - which was nicely done. It was a good highlight of the berries flavour without being sickly sweet. Overall, we...

Without a doubt the food is excellent. However the service can be spotty. Was in for brunch not long ago and the food was excellent, the service was impeccable. Had dinner there recently and the service was marginal at best. It was at the end of the meal where the service broke down. We had a very long wait for the server to bring our tab. When I asked one of the employees there if she would ask our waitress for tab the employee made no effort to find out if our waitress could help help us. When the waitress finally came to our table with the check we asked her if they could separate the two checks as we inadvertently forgot to mention that at the time time of ordering. Her response was "We'll just split the tab and put on your credit cards" Really? One of us had the ribeye dinner while the other one had two tacos. Rather that make a scene and take up more time we agreed. I can sympathize if they are short handed but laziness is unacceptable. It was disappointing as this restaurant...

How lucky we are that this historic hotel restaurant in Hope, Idaho has passionate new owners with years of experience from the former Floating Restaurant! The famous Smokey Onion Dressing lives on as well as some old favorites such as the Tropical Shrimp appetizer along with new favorites including delectable cheese curds and seasonal Burrata cheese with watermelon and strawberries. Everything was tasty and beautifully prepared. Our server and owner, Brad, is exceptional and he makes everyone feel special! We were there to sample all the appetizers along with a formidable Mai tai cocktail that was the perfect accompaniment to the setting sun on beautiful Lake Pend Oriole! I can’t say enough good things about this beautiful old building and caring staff! Will be perfect for holiday gatherings in the fall and winter as well special events. So happy for this addition to the lake community!!

We were just looking for a coffee and desert spot in a Sunday afternoon. I drive by this super charming place often and wonder about it. We stopped in and and had a magic kind of afternoon experience with very fresh homemade deserts and very nice drip coffee. I wouldn't say this was a coffee shop but more of a restaurant. When we left a lot of folks were rolling in to dinner. The folks running the place were super nice and told us a bit about the historic nature of the building going back to the 1800s. This would be a favorite place to go if I lived in Sandpoint. They are open all year. I encourage you to make the drive out (one of my favorite) and soak in the amazing experience here.

I dont even want everyone to know about this place and make it more difficult for me to get a table at my new favorite restaurant but in the spirit of fellowship I will have you know that I drive to Idaho, Washington, all over Montana trying new food and I will no longer be exploring for the best steak within driving distance of Thompson falls. B’s beacon is it. The atmosphere is literally a slice of heaven and the food was just as good. Thank you for feeding us real food in an area where that is so hard to find.
