If you are looking for a place with a nice atmosphere do not go here. It's like eating in a brightly lit gymnasium. No decor, no personality. Just a big brightly lit cold room with tables in it and a stage at one end.
The staff was friendly and the food came out in a timely manner. The bread was good and so was the salad, freshly made, not from a bag but my husband did not care for the house dressing. He did like his fish sandwich. I had the rigatoni dinner with marinara sauce.I DO NOT, let me stress do not recommend anyone get the marinara sauce. It was awful! And it was pricey. It was a large serving and I could have easily made three or four meals out of it if I had ever wanted to eat it again, which I did not.
I do not recommend this place for vegetarians, vegans, anyone who loves Italian food, or anyone who enjoys a good atmosphere...
Read moreVery good food and waitresses amd bartenders are nice. Owner is kind hearted as well. Only reason I gave this restaurant/bar a 3 out of 5 is because it has a lot of potential to be a 6 outta 10 easy. Removong the pool table seemed unessasary for one. For 2. Just remember going down. I loved see bands when I was younger. Was always packed and good, unless the band wasn't that good of course. With all the younger people moving around and into Hopedale i just figured maybe starting a band every other weekend or once a month of even bi-weekly would really increase you're profits and draw in more people whoever never been to Capraros. Id even manage the lights and what not! Anyhow just figured I'd throw that out...
Read moreThey have the best fish of anywhere around. Husband likes the spaghetti and the chicken salad too. Again, the fish is superb and I can't wait to go back. I always get the large order so I can bring some home. Its even good cold. I gave them another 5 star rating when we went back about 3-4 weeks later and the waitress said would you like your usual when she came to table to get drink order. She had remembered what we drank and that I take my homemade tartar sauce since I can’t eat dill and theirs is made with dill. I guess they could make it without dill or have mayo and sweet pickle relish to offer with fish. I’d make my own...
