Stopped in today and ordered a couple of 1/2 chicken plates to go. The young lady who took our order was very nice and friendly helping me to order as we had never been here before. I explained that we were riding a motorcycle (with a trailer) and we needed our side items packaged so they wont spill in the cooler. She assured that this was possible. Much appreciated..... We got 2 1/2 chicken plates each with cornbread, white beans and potato salad. One hot sauce, one mild. The chicken was really good. The sauces, neither one was great. The cornbread was really good. The potato salad was good, but was not house made. Comes from a tub that is similar to what you could buy at Kroger. The white beans well, to be completely honest, they smelled absolutely awful and tasted absolutely awful, and they were not cooked all the way done. We threw them away they were that bad.... We would visit here again and recommend, but stay far away from the white beans. We would order some different sides next time for sure.

Come here for the amazing barbecue in Hopkinsville! The service is super fast and everyone was very helpful! I was able to get a sample of the Burgoo since I have never had it before. The Burgoo and Hot Slaw were delicious! For my meats I had the ribs, the Mutton, and the Pork Chop which were all incredible! The dining room fills up for lunch so get here early for the amazing food! This is a location that I will visit whenever I'm in Hopkinsville, you should give it a try too!

Stopped by at the recommendation of casey jones distillery. The bbq was perfect just the right amount of smoke. The hot slaw was delicious almost like a relish and complimented the meat. Clean inside. Friendly folks. Great stop on our whiskey tour. The sides and meat too notch and home made. We had chicken and pulled pork.

Big disappointment. I took the hubby here for his birthday lunch after leaving MB Roland, and I don't usually do reviews if I can't give a 5, but I would have appreciated knowing before going on this one. It's highly rated on Google, which is surprising. I even heard an elderly gentleman tell staff it was the best he'd ever eaten as he was walking out the door, and I wanted to tell him he needed to get out more. The pork just tasted like smoke, no other seasoning, just smoke. The cornbread was burnt AND cold, green beans tasted like they were straight from a can, and I LOVE green beans. I think green beans should always be served at a BBQ joint. But good ones, with flavor. The white beans tasted like onion. That's all the flavor they added to those, chunks of onion. The mac n cheese was the best part of the meal. The staff was fairly friendly, bathroom pretty clean, no salt and pepper shakers, but they were definitely needed. I also usually take photos to post, but I had no desire to. I threw most all of it away. I tried to drown the pork in sauce, but then all I could taste was sauce. So, unfortunately, I have to say NOPE. I feel bad saying it, but if someone would have said all of this in a review before I drove an hour and a half... I could have saved 30 bucks, three hours of my time, and taken the hubby somewhere good for his...

Food lacks in flavor. Sauce is just OK, Overall very overpriced. 4-6oz of pork on a wonder bun for 5.99 with no sides? Wow! They think highly of themselves. As a former Smokehouse owner, I find it inexcusable that not one out of the several people working were educated on the product they are serving. Maybe in KY a rib is a rib to most, but when I come in with the notion to order a dozen racks for a weekend party and not one person can tell me what type of ribs they are is ridiculous. "They are yeah big and yummy" is the answer I got from one and a whole bunch of I don't knows form the kitchen. There is a big difference between Baby Back, St.Louis or traditional Spare Ribs. I personally what like to know what I am ordering for the money spent. That make a huge difference in the amount of meat you get on a slab. No Brisket? I wont even comment on that one. In the future I will find another pace to seek...
