To start, the first thing you notice is the insanely loud music playing from the speakers. Then you get seated to wait 15 minutes for some to get your drink order before realizing that there are only 2 servers during lunch at a packed restaurant. We ordered food with the drinks. About 40 minutes after we ordered, our food came out. Then the radio turned off and we understood why it was so loud...all of the staff in the kitchen was arguing and yelling at each other. At one point, it looked like one of the waitresses quit, but she kept changing her mind while waiting for a ride to arrive. After lunch and a show, we were ready for our check but waited 30 minutes for our server before going to the front to pay without a check. The food: All of our food was cold. As shown in the picture, I got a single scoop of mashed potatoes. Based on the other reviews, this place either knocks it out of the park or is absolutely terrible. Based on what the waitresses told us, there is too much family drama going on in this place. In response to the owner's response: This happened on August 12, 2023. The waitress specifically said that her aunt was the problem. We had waited 40 minutes already, we didn't say anything about the food because we didn't want to wait another hour for food. The type of music wasn't the problem. The problem was the volume and you should be able to tell it is too loud without a customer saying it.

It was different.. we waited forever for drink order. And way longer for drinks than normal. Still great sweet tea! 😉 food took a minute, had to flag someone down for drink refills, then electric went out after they took our drinks. Then said had to wait till electrics on.. hmm.... ok.... once on, no drinks, flagged down, then had to go stand by kitchen entrance just to get the to go boxes.. then girl couldn't figure change up.. the wings to slick, the livers were dry and over cooked. The catfish was perfect, as was okra and asked potatoes. The pickles were a little under cooked, the middle of the pickle doughy.. the electric didn't go out till we were over half way eating our meal. One of my guys has a lap band, they didn't even bring us water. That's where we started worrying.. his food was hanging in his throat, they could only think tea, when we asked again for a drink. We tried , and were understanding as much as possible, they were packed and had a hard day, could tell, and it wasn't getting any better... so three stars is hopefully their worst - cause it's normally great here.. again, everyone, including entire businesses, have a bad day. Hoping this was theirs and they are over it.

If you're a fan of down home, southern, friendly service and good food to top it off, this is your new favorite place to be. It is a hidden gem for sure. The guy from Hidden River Caves suggested this spot. Great suggestion! I don't know who the 5 broke girls that own this place are, but your waitress is any and everyone that's free. Everyone will stop by asking if you need anything or to refill your drink. There's no passing off the work because no one minds doing it. The decor is a mixture of Bible sayings or regular run-of-the-mill meme type stuff. Cute. Homey. Normal. Now for the food 😋 Gone and unbutton the pants before you order because you're headed in that direction. 😉 The servings are huge. Everything is brick and mortar made so say what you want and you'll get it. My friend and I both were in the mood for a burger 🍔 We had no idea of what we were ordering. The fact that the burger was called Big Tex should've been a clue. It was a ginormous piece of burger heaven. Juicy, cooked just right, toppings as ordered, and cheese galore! 🧀 Perfection in every bite.

We decided to try this place after hearing recommendations from acquaintances. Upon entering, I noticed the signs posted around the restaurant, stating good food, but not fast food...which was fine, as we were not in a hurry! After we were seated, our server came to get drink orders. Super sweet, young girl. She asked if we had been here before, and when we told her it was our first time, she gave a few recommendations of her own! We were a small party (6). She was quick to get our drinks out, and then we ordered. The restaurant was not crowded...I'd say maybe 7 tables of people, besides us. When we entered the restaurant, there were a couple of ladies out front, which I will assume were the owners. While we waited (patiently), we began to notice customers that were there before us, starting to get anxious and looking for their food. We witnessed a table of 3 get their food and it was all cold and they got up and left . One of those customers spoke to the women outside. She came in and began yelling at all the staff. It definitely created an awkward atmosphere in the restaurant, you could see it on all the customers faces. Our server left crying. The lady that just yelled, then went to all tables and apologized for what we ALL overheard. Could have definitely been handled more professionally. Finally food came to our table for ONE person. We watched food get delivered to another table. About 10 mins passed and food came for another person in our party. More food went to another table. From person 1 getting their food, to our final person receiving their food, it was probably 20+ mins. Once we all received our food, it was all great! As we ate, we continued to watch the remaining people watching and waiting for their food. We heard 1 more yelling incident during our meal. Food was great, our server did a good job. Not sure what the problem was, but it appeared to be in the kitchen. Really wish the lady hadn't made such a scene in front of customers, and that they might have jumped in and helped/took over, if there was problems...which there obviously was. From the time we walked in, to the time we left, our visit was right at 2 hours. Good food, but probably...

Went here today. Arrived at approx 12:30. Wasn’t offered seating for about 30 or 40 minutes. The host lady offered to seat us with another group instead of a private table. We declined and waited another 30+ minutes. The lady eventually seated us to a table that she was originally trying to give to someone who arrived after us. We had to point that out to get sat. Then waited for about 20 minutes before flagging down a employee to get us drinks and take our order. This occurred at approx 1:50. We then sat there with no interaction with any wait staff for the next 1.5 hours. We had to flag down a waitress who had been sitting most of the time we were there. She even was eating a salad at one point while we waited for someone to take our order. Anyways. She told us the was a mix up in the kitchen and we would get our food soon. We got our burgers at 3:25. The burgers were over cooked and the onion rings soggy and not worth the wait or the price. Worst 40$ I have ever spent hands down. The host was very rude and inattentive to us specifically. She talked to every customer around, but not us. She started treating us this way after we turned down the shared table 2 hours earlier. We honestly should have just left. But I wanted to see just how bad this place was and it did not disappoint. Will never go again nor recommend anyone else.

Also the host is flat out lying in other review responses. She said no one waited more than 20 minutes to get seated. False. I guess she wouldn’t know about us tho. Because she ignored us the whole time. Just wanted to get that out there for every to be seen. Bad customer service in ever way shape form and fashion. Being short staffed isn’t an excuse and stop acting like it makes up for a terrible experience for myself and many...

I am beyond upset with this place, so after a fun day at Kentucky Down Under, my niece, nephew, and parents decided to head here. We are local and had been before and it was pretty good, but after today I don’t think we’ll ever be back. When we arrived it was busy which was no big deal we could wait. We got our drinks and ordered, our waitress had bright pink hair and was a little short with us but I get it I’ve worked in restaurants and when it’s busy you get stressed. So we are waiting 20 minutes and it starts to clear out next thing you know it’s been 40 minutes and ok they still had some big tables so no big deal, but we were out of our drinks and our waitress was completely avoiding us. We tried to get her attention a few times and we couldn’t find her. We had to ask another waitress to get some refills again we were like ok it’s busier than usual. We got our refills and then maybe 10 minutes later got our food. When we started getting our food she sat it all down and out of our 5 items only 1 was correct. We were hungry and frustrated and we had been there over an hour by that point, my 9 year old nephew who is actually the sweetest boy tried to ask if he could get some mayonnaise and she snapped at him. So I was about to loose it but kept my restraint then when we saw my nephews order was wrong the waitress said it would be another 30 minutes before he would get his cheese burger how he ordered it. That was it we’re out of here I grabbed my 4 year old niece who had passed out because it took so long and we left. It was extremely stressful and upsetting. It really is sad because the food is good but clearly there are issues with the staff and how they run...
