This place is great! It is small but the people working here make the difference. We were visiting the area and tried the Heron based on reviews down the street from the ThirstyArmadillo, and I got what was supposed to be a hibiscus tea. The drink tasted like they had gone across the street to HEB and got some cherry kool-aid (I'm not kidding) as for their coffee, my fiancee said it was ok but seemed watered down. We then found the Thirsty Armadillo and are glad we did. Their Hibiscus Tea was wonderful! They had several options of tea that are then mixed with the hibiscus (not kool-aid). It was a summer afternoon and hot, of course, so we both went for the Iced version (my fiancee got an iced coffee, and it was very good. I don't drink a lot of coffee in the summer, but I tried hers and may reconsider my thoughts on "summer coffee") and my tea was perfect, as was my fiancees coffee! This little shop would give some of the big chain coffee shops a run for the money. The only negative about the place (only my opinion) is the location. It sits in what looks like more of an industrial area of town. That said, it doesn't affect the fact that the people working here are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. The tea and coffee we tried here blew the in town competition out of the water. I would definitely recommend this shop, not so much the competition...

The most recent visit I was asking for a suggestion for a āsuper sweetā energy and all the guy had to say was āwell thatās the whole menuā and I stated that strawberry was my favorite flavor but still Iām willing to branch out and he then recommended a strawberries n cream; it tasted terrible. Just like the last five drinks (different each time) Iāve gotten that he specifically has made. So thatās Unfortunate. Original review: They are so kind here. I love the cactus refresher they have, I like to sub watermelon for strawberry and add strawberry boba and/or energy. Itās sweet without being overwhelming and got me into green tea. They also offer...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThere is a sign in this building that says treat others the way you want to be treated. In that case, a backstory is necessary. When in the army, I used to frequent a coffee shop called The Morning Jump just outside of Fort Bragg. They had a drink called the Sky Dragon, it was an excellent cinnamon cappuccino. Since i left, I have been looking for a cinnamon cappuccino worthy of such a name as can strike fear into the hearts of 15th century villagers, a name like Sky Dragon. Here at the Thirsty Armadillo, I watched homeboy make the best damn cinnamon cappuccino that I've ever tasted. He never cut corners, focused on every step, and the result was a cinnamon cappuccino worthy of a vicious name. Hell yeah,...
