This convenience/crafts/coffee store is a gem! Jemima and her husband are true locals who came back to their native community to build a life in connection with nature and with their people. They are true nature lovers and river people. They are kind and are highly respected by local people. The store is filled with crafts from local people - odd, curious, fascinating, different stuff. The Laurel River Store is one of the best cases of a local family engaging with tourism in their own terms. A must stop any time I...
