Danny's Crawfish & Seafood — Restaurant in Houston

Danny's Crawfish & Seafood, is a small spot that had a few tables where you can sit and eat. Parking is adequate and it's easy to find. You order your food at the desk and you just wait for it to be served to you. The drinks are bottled or canned drinks. They don't have any type of mixed drinks, tap water or anything like that. The location was pretty empty at lunch time, but many people came in to pick up food. It seems common for people to go and pick up orders as opposed to dining in.

I went with my dad and brother and I had the garlic butter crawfish, medium spice with two corns. My dad had the oyster basket, and my brother had the fish basket. The food is very well seasoned I loved the crawfish, it was delicious it had the right amount of spice, it had a little bit of sweetness in there, making it a spicy sweet taste. My Dad loved his oyster basket he said the fries were well seasoned and he really liked it. My brother didn't really care for the catfish he thought that it wasn't bad, it just wasn't for him.

This is a casual inner city spot. It's actually on the edge of Houston and Missouri City. It's on the corner of Blue Ridge and W. Fuqua. They have a restroom, and you can dine in as well. The service was great. It was our first time so the host explained everything. When we arrive there was only one couple dining, but before we left there was a line to the door.

Experience with food: It was prepared perfectly and not overcooked. The crabmeat slid out without a problem, and the shrimp were not over boiled. They have the absolute best hushpuppies ever. I could go back just for hushpuppies. Now the flavor on the boil was a tad bit sweet for me. I'm not sure which option (flavor) has a sweet ingredient, but next time I go, I'm definitely going to find out and have that removed. That is my only issue. The level of spice was perfect for me. They have really spicy options for those who want to lose feeling on your tongue for a few minutes.

Long Overdue Review — Disappointed with the Crawfish I finally decided to try Crawfish from Danny’s and ordered 3 lbs of the Rajun Cajun (medium spice) with a sausage link. I had seen a few reviews mentioning that their Crawfish had a tomato sauce base, which already sounded off.

When I picked up the order, the usual mouthwatering aroma you expect with Crawfish just wasn’t there. And once I got home and tasted them, I was even more disappointed. They didn’t taste Cajun or even remotely like any Crawfish I’ve ever had. I couldn’t quite identify the flavor, but it was definitely not what I was expecting — and not in a good way.
