Tropical Express — Restaurant in Houston

First time EVER going there. The whole staff today were pleasant and friendly. The service ,EXCELLENT. The lady who took my order made a shaved ice for me that never tasted ,and now the best I've ever had. Honest ladies, I didn't know my order came with drinks,the young lady with the green eyes would not let me leave until I told her my soda of choice. The service alone 20 stars. Now, the food. If you want that homemade taste,the seasoning to perfection,ever bite just have you wanting more,freshly cooked. And,not to mention the portions are more than expected. Oh,their prices are unbeatable. A local business, with a next-door neighbor type of feel......I will definitely be back weekly if not more...

I ordered the turkey burger today, 1st of all we eat here a lol , so u noticed things and I hope this is temporary but the patties was the one from the frozen bag , I ordered the same burger a while ago and u can tell it was hand prep , don't change what wasn't broken and the cookies are paper thin , 😡😡 the hamburger patties are frozen as well please go back to what made your customers come back I no it’s quicker but not better your seasoning is very well. It actually covers up that it’s not actually ground beef or turkey go back to prepare the meat patties yourself and please go back to the homemade fries. The food is still good just not...

The best old fashioned burgers in Houston. I recommend the the double burger with bacon. But you better be hungry. This will make you full and sleepy and the fries are fresh and come in old fashioned wax paper. I've never met a disappointed customer. Hard to find but worth the hunt. I love eating here. I advise to call ahead so your order will be ready. As they cook it fresh and there's a line. Update I brought a turkey burger combo for my mom with onion rings.
