Howard Hilton — Restaurant in Howard Township

Saturday night,holiday weekend. Live band ,seats filled. Double Doubler burger was 2nd best burger I've had ,In -N Out and Tommy's tied for #1 ( different styles ,both great) Howard Hilton would have reached a tie for first with A) couple more slices of cheese( I'll note it was available on the menu as a extra, next time I will add/pay extra) a tomato slice(which I asked for but didn't get) and a second sauce ( I only put mayo on mine),similar to In-n-Out's animal sauce or a quick dip in au jus or broth would have helped ,the patties were a touch dry,just a touch,almost insignificant. I can chalk up the tomato as miscommunication as it was busy, boisterous and the staff was working their butts off. Fries were great. Use to be a 5 star place...

Was there at 7 pm on Thursday night, placed food orders... Was after 8 pm when food started arriving. Waitress came out with approximately 10 food baskets on one arm - handing out fries . They were cold. Use to be a huge basket of fries -now it's McDonald's size. Sent them back. She immediately returned with a different (or nuked) basket of fries. Was another 15-20 mins before burgers came out. I ordered a mushroom swiss sandwich. Use to be a 5 star sandwich. The mushrooms were burnt! Nasty taste. The hamburger was also burnt on one side. I didn't even bother to argue with them again. It had been about 1 1/2 hours. Good thing chickens are such scavenger - they enjoyed my dinner - expensive chicken food.

While visiting my best friend in Ohio and her new place she took me to have lunch at the Howard Hilton near her home. We had an amazing girls day with excellent service! We were constantly checked on and our drinks were never empty. Our order was taken at our convenience and arrived promptly and correct. I ordered a BLT which was piled high with perfectly cooked bacon, I did ask for an extra slice of tomato and it was not a problem. The fries were fresh to order and made from scratch. I also had a mushroom appetizer and they were quite delicious. I will definitely swing through here again on my next visit back home. I failed to take photos as we had an amazing time and I was living in the moment but I definitely recommend everything that we order...
