This is a local joint. If you ever find yourself desiring a good burger in SE Kansas I suggest you swing by here.

Today’s special was the Minute Bun. What is a minute bun you ask? I did, and since this is a local thing I had to get it. It is like a sloppy Joe but not with any kind of sauce. The binder is instead onion powder.

So similar to an onion burger it isn’t by any means. The toppings are, yes toppings for a sloppy Joe conspired sandwich, pickles, onion, ketchup, and mustard.

Those were perfect to go on this. In my opinion it could have used more ketchup and mustard. Because it’s not a burger. So those flavors penetrate into the sandwich creating a new profile…like a burger, but not.

If you are watching your sodium intake I would steer clear, however, it might be worth it as a...

Driving through the area and saw some nice old cars in front of this place. Feeling hungry after the last few hundred miles we decided it was lunch time. The wife and I got cheeseburgers and an order of sweet potato fries. The young lady behind the counter worked tirelessly to get the orders processed as there were several people in front of us. But before no time we had our burgers and were able to enjoy some time out of the car. And they remembered the wife did not want onions or mustard on her burger while I didn't mind. The food was tasty and fresh. There was some exhibits, for lack of a better term, on the lot next to the drive-in that I've included for...

Service: friendly, minimalist (in a good way) service. Eat your food in peace.

Food: honestly perfect speed for the food. I got off a long shift with a few coworkers and called to see if they'd stay open for us (arrival estimate was 20m to close). Staff welcomed us and were very friendly despite the circumstance and treated us with monster size burgers, especially when you consider the price.

Will absolutely return when in town - a must have try for the hungry or those who love delicious food.

Please add an option for tipping on card! I felt HORRIBLE for not being able to tip such amazing food and...

We had heard of Toot’s Drive-In for years, but just finally tried it while passing through Howard on K-99. This little dive has been around since 1955 (in the same location all those years!) and has only had 5 owners. It’s well worth the stop if you’re in the area for a burger and a slice of homemade pie. 🌻 #whosayskansasisboring #thatkshistorynerd #kansashistorynerd #kansashistoryteacher #iteachmiddleschool #teachersoftiktok #KansasTourism #ToTheStarsKS #roadtrippin

Doing a job nearby , the folks in this town seem to be friendly. Got hello's while I was here, the county clerk was friendly as well, the folks eating here were not to talkative but I didn't try either , I didn't get that outsider feeling from everyone. The burgers are tasty , will probably stop by again soon as I'll be here for a few days. The menu is good as well. The location can sit 24 comfy ... it does take a while but good food takes longer.. good place to stop and get a bite with the family if your passing by.. came back the very next day...
