As a new resident in Bracey, VA, My husband and I took our adult sons and daughter here for breakfast. A waitress came over and took our orders for drinks, brought them to the table and took our 4 orders as my husband chose not to order from the menu. As we watched people come in after us being served on the other side of the restaurant, our table, and three other tables on the other side of the restaurant were waiting for our orders to arrive. Half hour after still waiting a waitress placed a handwritten note on the door stating they would be closing early due to no air conditioning in the back. 15 mins. later, a group of six people came in and sat down at a table as it looked like they knew someone cooking in the back. Their orders were taken by the waitress working on the other side. She was working to feed people on her side while our waitress was standing behind the counter doing nothing. Now it has been an hour and still no food, no one checking to see if we needed any more drinks? As a group we decided to let them know we were leaving. Our waitress didn’t charge us for the drinks we order but no explanation was given as to why we were still waiting for our food as well as the other people still waiting for their food? So sad as a resident of this town to see this...
Read moreI am a frequent customer of this restaurant however tonight was the absolute WORST experience, as it relates to service, that I have ever had. Our waitress (Angel) was terrible!! We watched her continuously stay on her cell phone while we sat waiting on our food that was waiting in the window to be served with our drinks EMPTY! When the cook said something to her she got an attitude with him. Our food was so cold that the waffle wouldn’t even melt the room temperature butter! It was so bad that I had to walk up to the counter to ask her if she could get off of her phone and please either remake or at least microwave my food so I could have a hot waffle and warm biscuits and gravy!! There was NO manager to be found and NO apologies ever offered!! Even after looking online there is still no complaint line to be found! We were NOT the only patrons having issues with her service! I rarely write reviews but this was such a horrible experience that it needed to be shared! It will be a very long time before I EVER choose to eat here again! And when I do I promise she will not be my server again even if I have to get up and leave! Read moreThe food was pretty good, but sadly, the service was terrible. The server never came to check on us. Common sense things were never done. We were never greeted. Our 1 year old's meal came out so hot he burned his mouth. When we complained to the server about it she didn't care. When we told the manager about it, she didn't care either. When we went through the review process on the internet, we got a useless response from Ashley Whitehead, the area operations manager. It gets worse. In the middle of us eating, the manager starts mopping the floor with chemicals, right next to where we were eating. It was so nauseating, we had to stop! We couldn't even finish our meal! When we complained, again, nothing was done. Again, Ashley Whitehead had nothing to say in her e-mail. Obviously, Huddle House in this region cares nothing about customer service. I wouldn't waste my time going there. It's a shame because it sure does look nice when you walk in, but don't expect anyone to greet you...
