I went here for the first time recently, and was very impressed. First of all, the service was very friendly, and had a small-town atmosphere. Even though they were busy, and the phone was ringing a lot, they took the time to make us feel important to them, and well-cared for. We ordered pizza and spaghetti. First the good: the pizza was to die for! The sauce was delicious, cheese perfect, and the crust chewy and tasted wonderful. It was a delight, from start to finish! The other item that we ordered was spaghetti with meatballs. The meatballs were delicious, but I will never get the spaghetti again. There was very little taste, and it seemed as if it was just canned tomatoes mixed with pasta. Not appetizing. However, the garlic bread that came with it was wonderful! Very chewy again, and a large piece, not like a tiny slice that most places give. It was more like a third of a French loaf. The salad that came with it was fresh and well-done, not just iceberg lettuce, but leafy greens, and other vegetables. The atmosphere was well, not upscale, but comfortable and clean. All in all I did give it five stars, and I will definitely be back! (Since I wrote this review I've had the opportunity to try the salads, and the haddock dinner, both of which are to die for! Pictured is the teriyaki chicken salad, and fried haddock....
Read moreFirst time trying Mike’s tonight and while I wasn’t impressed I wasn’t disappointed either. Based on the Hudson town page Facebook group a lot of people recommended them as the best steak bomb in town. Since our other favorite place was closed we decide to try something new. So of course we had to try the steak bomb, over all it was pretty okay the meat was kind of lacking but flavor was what is to be expected from a steak bomb and the bread was very good. We also got a cheese burger sub, again it was pretty okay, was made correctly and again the bread was very good. Since we were trying it for the first time I knew I needed to order the Mikes sampler which had a little bit of all the sides you might get when ordering out, the fries are hand cut which can make for really good fries but unfortunately here they are just barely cooked so the lacked alot. The chicken fingers were again pretty okay, the wings were a complete miss and the mozzarella sticks were again pretty okay. The running theme with all the food we got was its just pretty okay, it’s like they have all the tools for really great food but only put enough effort in for it to be pretty okay. That’s what I get for not ordering pizza at a place that has pies...
Read moreThis is a pretty solid pizza place! We ordered a Sicilian with pepperoni and a chicken finger plate. The cashiers were very friendly and attentive. We opted to dine in; happened to be during the peak dinner rush which was no problem. Most of the tables were occupied, but there was a convenient waiting table to sit at until a free table opened. They had a great selection of Coke products, which is always a plus; waters, teas, sodas, juices, etc. It took about 30 min to get our food, but we were expecting that, since a lot of pickup orders were being prepared that were received ahead of our order. Nonetheless, our food came out piping hot! The pizza was picture perfect and everything I expected. A very tasty dough with great texture, well cooked, gooey cheese, and a well seasoned sauce. The reason for four stars instead of five is due to chicken fingers being the kind you most likely get frozen, not house made. My fiance enjoyed them anyways; the fries we're particularly great, crispy and pillowy in the middle. We will definitely be...
