Wildflower Inn & Restaurant — Restaurant in Hughes Springs

1/6/2021 Stay at Wildflower Inn and Restaurant, Hughes Springs, TX Checked in Room 108 around 4:30 after work. The manager who checked me in did not wear a mask and there was no separation between customer and manager. I noticed the hotel did not reflect the positive reviews published on several booking sites, but I was tired and it was raining heavily. I had several reports to do before finishing for the day and did not at first pay attention to the cleanliness of the room. About 8:00 PM I began to survey the room. My observations were the following:

1. Shower curtain had several dark stains and mold growing at the bottom
2. The refrigerator had several whitish dried areas that appeared to be old food
3. The wall behind the kitchen cabinet area was spotted with what appeared to be brown food residue
4. The microwave door and television screen had several opaque areas that appeared to be handprints
5. The sheets and pillowcases had multiple areas that appeared to be dried body fluid as well as two spots of reddish stain
6. When I tried to exit the door, I could not open it I immediately phoned the manager who declined to investigate my complaints, offered to send someone down with sheets for me to change myself or offered to let me move to the room next door (109). I went into Room 109 and investigated the bathroom. The shower curtain also had several grey stains that appeared to be mold as well as significant pinkish buildup along the bottom of the curtain and a bright purple nylon net ball hanging from the faucet. Filthy filthy filthy filthy filthy!!!!!!!!!!!! Had to change rooms because there was blood, dirt, and hair in the beds. Our second room had literal pee stains on the sheets and blankets. Room clearly had not been dusted in several weeks, at least. The lamps and clock were completely covered in dust. Bathrooms smelled of straight sewage, bathroom door wouldn't shut, there were live spiders in the towels, spiderwebs in ever corner or the room. Mystery stains on the walls. Everything was disgusting. I didn't even like hanging our bath towels on the drying rack. We never took our shoes off inside, the floors were disgusting. There's a fridge in the room. I would absolutely NOT recommend anyone staying here. Someone somewhere claimed this place had been newly renovated, but it's a lie. I don't know what other options there are for hotels in the area, but surely for $75 a night, you can find somewhere else to stay. (We had friends who stayed at Royal Inn in Linden and they said "it's not as bad as we expected" so that's...

This place has been in business a long time but made the trip to check out local activities and happened to try them out. Traveling with a handicap person, I found that they are not in compliance with the ADA. We were greeted by 2 female employees and told to seat ourselves. Good deal. Checked out the buffet and decided to give it a try. Food was not up to par. Some of the meat and vegetables looked as though it was saved from a previous day then put back on the buffet today. The salad bar was just OK. Nothing was cold as it should be on the salad bar as well. After eating I began to look at the floors and ceilings and return air duct vents on the wall. To say filthy is an understatement. This place needs to be closed for a good whole weekend and thoroughly deep cleaned and painted. Even a visit from the health inspector would be a starting point to get this place back on course. I hope recommendations...
