We came in on Monday at noon, they were not busy at all, and we don’t want to eat in the bar area so we sat in the dining area.
Why do the waitresses have the laundry baskets and silverware out on the tables in the front of the restaurant? I’m sorry but that is very unprofessional in our opinion. Surely they have a better spot to roll their silverware than to take 2 tables with stuff scattered everywhere.
The waitress waited on us immediately, and brought our food out very fast, but she never came back to check on us, we were out of water and would have liked to have more. We had to ask for the check, and we also asked for a to go box. She brought us our check but not our box. We sat and watched her take food back and forth to the bar about 5 times. I finally asked her again if I could get a to go box. She said it would be “just a minute” but I told her that we needed to be somewhere NOW! This was at least 20 minutes after asking for it. I came so close to taking her tip away, not even kidding. It took her less than 30 seconds to get it. Had I known where they were, I would’ve gotten it myself.
The food was amazing, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. I doubt that we will be back anytime soon, and that makes me sad. Changes need to be made before I spend any more money there! Just because some people don’t want to sit in the bar, and aren’t drinking, that shouldn’t reflect the ...
Read moreI dined in alone Wednesday at 1230p. The place was pretty busy. The restaurant part was full with a private party. I had to walk around back and enter through the bar door. The bar area tables were full. I was seated at the bar by a hostess...
The interior is nice, new, clean and modern. The menu looks like a newspaper. All the food names are clever takeoffs of the Bonnie and Clyde theme. The menu itself was clever and interesting. Anyhow....
There were several waitresses running around. I sat for several minutes before anyone acknowledged me. I ordered water and waited about 5 minutes for it to arrive. Then another waitress took my food order.
I ordered the grilled chicken fajita salad. It came a few minutes later and it looked visually appealing. It tasted great. The portion size was appropriate and the price was decent.
From the time I walked in the door to when my food order was taken was somewhat slow. Once the order was in things went great.
I have no idea who my waitress was, as the person who sat me, brought me a drink, took my food order, delivered it and took my card payment were all seperate people. But the staff were polite and professional, although obviously really busy. I assume they aren't always this busy. But it was a good experience with good food and decent prices. I would eat...
Read moreFood: I had the chicken Alfredo and it was absolutely terrible. The sauce was super bland and was lacking a lot of flavor. If the cooks would’ve added some fresh garlic, salt, pepper, and a good quality cheese instead of the cheap stuff, it would’ve been a lot better.
Alcohol: I had an old fashioned and a gin rickey. I have had many old fashioned’s in the short amount of time I’ve been 21. This was definitely not an old fashioned. An old fashioned is supposed to have good bourbon, bitters, an orange peel and a few other good quality ingredients, not with grenadine and I think it was either pineapple or orange juice. The gin Rickey was piss poor quality as well. I could only taste the tonic and lime juice, not the gin which you should be able to. Probably the worst drinks I’ve ever had.
I think the waitresses, cooks, and bartenders if there are any and not just the waitresses, need to be retrained or else this establishment will not survive much longer. Although maybe the residents of Hugoton might enjoy it, myself as a passerby did not and will not return next time I am in the area unless things...
