El Capitán Factory is a must-visit in Humacao. Owners Luis and Karem are a young couple running a top-notch spot with heart and excellence. Our waitress Vednessa gave flawless service from start to finish.
I had the grilled octopus in garlic sauce with fried plantains and salad—absolutely delicious. My wife had the grouper in garlic sauce—both plates were generous and full of flavor.

Anoche fui con mi familia y nos ofrecieron Sirloin Steak. Nos preguntaron el término y lo pedimos medium well. Llegó ensangrentado. 15 minutos después me lo trajeron diciendo que ya estaba medium well, y lo habian cortado en trozos. Estaba lleno de sangre, volví y le pedí que lo cocinaran medium well. Se tardaron mas de 20 minutos. Ya habiamos terminado y nada que llegaba. Cuando llegó ya estaba cocinado well done y estabamos llenos. Lo probamos, nada de sal, nada de sabor. Pues no los llevamos. Al final el dueño se acercó y nos dió la excusa que el cocinero era nuevo. Después se las echó diciendo que la esposa era la "Chef". Osea, que la chef no supo cocinar un simple steak y nos vieron la cara de estúpidos como para culpar a un supuesto empleado "nuevo"? La gente no es boba, Señor Dueño.
Nada de disculpas y nada que nos ofrecieron postre o remuneración alguna.
Como les digo, no vale lo que cuesta. El mofongo/bifongo tampoco estaba bueno. Lo que hicieron fue un majado de plátano y lo tiraron ahí, sin ninguna gracia o porción que pareciera un "mofongo".
