Hunter Pizzeria — Restaurant in Hunter

Lived in the Boro for many years, passed this place a 1000 times over the years. Gave it a try about a month ago and today was forth time going in 30 days. Pizza is amazing - we get salads with it and the salads are more than generous an very fresh tasting. The pizza is the main event. Its HUGE, thin crust, tons of ingredients. All cooked to perfection. Its a combo of their knowledge and old fashioned pizza oven. This is a great family owned business. We got an ice cream cone today and I swear it would feed four people. The prices are amazing. We get a medium pizza and 2 salads and we still take home 1/3 of the pizza. It heats up the next day perfectly. ZERO waste - all TASTE! Thanks. (BTW today we were on our way to LaRozas and then we remembered Hunter Pizza - no discussion - car turned right and boom we were at Hunter). I'm a truck driver and I have Drove past this place several times and always wondered what the pizza was like. So I stopped in and got some and the people in there were friendly But my pizza was very salty. I don't understand why there is salt on the bottom of my crust. Every time I took a bite It made me feel very dehydrated. And I had to scrape the salt off. Just to be able to eat it. I've never seen salt on the bottom of a pizza like this before The pizza would be good without the salt It's just a average pizza in my opinion. I like that. But the only reason why I'm leaving a 2 out of 5 is because I pizza was so salty. I almost couldn't finish it. This place has great service and great food. I went on Monday with my grandparents. I like hanging out with them as much as I can, well this Monday they had country/blue Grass type music. Now I'm 35 and I really enjoyed the band that was playing tonight. They were jamming out with a guitar and banjo, people were dancing I had a blast. Had to been maybe 70-100 people at Hunter's tonight.
