West main diner — Restaurant in Huntingdon

Where do I even begin with this amazing restaurant. First let’s begin with the food. Between me, my fiancé, and extended family (who I have also gotten hooked on this place) have tried almost everything on their menu. My personal favorite would be the Main Melt and Fish Plate. When I tell you I have not had a better patty melt in my entire life and I have traveled to multiple different states buddy this is the BEST. On Fridays I always get my fish plate. I no longer drive to Jackson for Catfish Cabin or any of the usual catfish places because the fish plate West Main offers is all you need if you are a fried fish lover. I also from time to time get the Philly cheese steak egg rolls if I am really feeling a good treat. I can’t recommend the egg rolls enough! ALSO they offer some DELICIOUS desserts. I mean if they have their chess or pecan pies avaliable for the day I can’t stop myself from getting a slice. The flavors always hit your taste buds just right and their home made cinnamon bun cake is top tier as well. It’s never dry and it makes you wanna slap your grandmama when you get a fork full!

Now on to the staff and dine-in experience. When I tell you I ALWAYS catch myself smiling when I walk through the door of this establishment I mean I am CHEESING. I always get greeted with the most welcoming “Hello!” And usually if I come a little early before my food is ready I end up chatting with everyone at the counter. Every single person who works here is the sweetest most kind individual I have ever met. They are quick to ask you if you need ANYTHING and always willing to go above and beyond to get you something. For EX the fish plate is only on Friday but one Saturday I was really craving their fish plate and had missed the day before. They went out of their way to make me one since they still had some fish left over from the day before.

I can not recommend this place enough. If you haven’t eaten here yet I’m telling you. YOU ARE...

Edit to my previous review [I haven't had anything bad there, but their service has taken a hit in some cases. I guess they don't always answer the phone to take orders? Kinda hard to get thru, and I end up getting lunch somewhere else.]

This place has amazing food.. in comparison to most other places in the area, including Milan and Jackson, it is TOP TIER.

I had the cheeseburger egg rolls. They are amazing, venture out, and try them, I dare you.

The wings with a Cajun dry rub were also up to snuff. I really don't appreciate most other people's wings, but these were 💣 in my opinion.

Dessert here was no slouch either. Honey bunn. Definitely homemade. Definitely amazing.

My 1st time here. I missed the lunch rush so I was the only customer. I ordered Chicken Philly and Patty Melt combo's plus order of Cheese steak egg rolls. I'm so glad I stopped. Best Philly I've had in years. Freshly made so I did have to wait but worth the time. The fries are well seasoned too. The Patty melt was huge and melty with cheese like the Philly. Order was 38 and worth it. This is no cheap McDonald's food. It's made to order...
