Deer Oak Restaurant and Lounge — Restaurant in Huntington Township

We stopped this evening for dinner and drinks. We sat at a table in the bar area, another person came in at the same time as us and sat at the bar. That person was promptly served. WE WAITED. The bar tender looked out at us, a cook came out of the kitchen and spoke to us. WE WAITED. The bar tender continued to serve the bar. We WAITED. The bar tender went and hid out in the kitchen. WE WAITED. A few people left from the bar, the bar tender cashed them out right in front of our table. We WAITED. WE WAITED 25 minutes... 25 minutes not one time did she greet us, she looked at us but apparently didn't want to serve us because we were not sitting at the bar where it was easy for her to just wait on whoever sat at the bar. She could have and should have said "One moment" , or "I will be out as soon as I can" It was her choice to just not wait on us. We got up and walked out, the bartender watched. We ended up going up to Crooked Creek. The girls welcomed us as soon as we walked in we had an amazing dinner great service and spent our hard earned money at an establishment that knows their patrons keep the lights on. Needless to say we will not be returning to Deer Oak anytime soon. Called ahead to see what the specials were for the day, and after arriving the waitress that we spoke to on the phone said that they didn't actually start until 4pm, stating this immediately upon entering as if she knew who we were and that she had not disclosed this when on the phone an hour before we arrived. Asked why she didn't tell is that on the phone at first she said she forgot but then back peddled and said it was my fault I didn't ask when they started. She then called the manager who said the specials were in the paper and on the Facebook page that we were never directed to on the phone so her not disclosing any details wouldn't matter. I said this was very upsetting and asked for the check, stating because of this I would never visit this establishment again, which sparked an argument with the waitress who said I was being mean for being upset, even though no details were disclosed when I called an hour before arriving. We have eaten here multiple times. The owner is always rude. We love the blowout flavored wings but for the last few times they have been small and dry. We ordered 4 dozen wings tonight and celery and blue cheese. We went to pick up the order and there was only 1 blue cheese. She already ran our card for the order and then wanted to run it again for $5 just to give us more blue cheese and celery because obviously, 1 isn't enough for 4 dozen wings. So anyway, we called to complain and she wanted my family (that was ready for dinner) to stop eating and for us to bring the wings all the way back so she could see them. We did not want to drive all the way back so we agreed to not go there anymore... So then I opened the container of blue cheese and celery because the wings were so small we were all still hungry only to find out that our blue cheese WAS SOUR CREAM!!!! 😡😡 The owner did not care, never apologized, blamed it on her workers(when she's the one that ran the card a second time for our SOUR CREAM.
