B&K Root Beer — Restaurant in Huntington

The price doesn’t match the quality you’re getting. The hot dogs are extremely thin (it’s literally known as a hot dog stand!). The main component is bread. The packaging keeps it all soggy if you decide to take it home. Burgers are good but greasy. I don’t like that all of the food seems so wet, and isn’t cheap. I like the atmosphere because it’s cool to eat outside on nice days but it’s next to a busy road and that’s not very peaceful. You probably won’t get full off one or even two hotdogs and if you’re like me probably want to try a side or two. The ice cream in the rootbear float tastes more like ice than vanilla. I don’t know if they’ve tasted their own food in a while and came to terms with the changes that need made. The root beer, coneys, fries and the price is excellent!!! The service Is AWESOME! We driver 45 min to an hour just for lunch. To me Chick fill-a is the gold standard when it comes to service, but they may actually exceeded them! It blows me away how courteous and respectful the carhops (I know old term) are if there is any type of question or issue these young ladies are on top of it. With the level of concern to detail in the service , you would think they were the owners. They are CLOSED on Sundays, which to me shows that the owners are still people of substance (personal opinion). Great food! Great prices! Taking 1 Star off ONLY because the fries are so oddly icky. That’s the only thing that this place serves that isn’t spectacular! The burgers are wonderful! The coneys are perfect! The service is always happy and smiling and just pleasant. One of our favorite hot dog joints! Oh.. and those deep fried cauliflower.... talk about yum!!!!
