Midway One Stop Diner — Restaurant in Huntsdale

I hadn’t even planned on going here, but after our tour bus lost a tire and my group of 20 was kicked off, we were forced to come and wait here for a while. To my surprise, however, it was a much nicer place than I would’ve expected to be all the way out in the middle of nowhere. The ladies working there were so sweet and understanding, and they even provided us all lemonade and allowed us to play billiards. Our driver was gone much longer than expected, but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. We ended up being there for about two hours, so we all ate lunch, sang along with the TouchTunes jukebox, played games, and had a fantastic time. The only downside in my eyes is where it’s located, because I think more people need to be able to experience it and I think that they deserve much more exposure as well. I was initially reluctant to dine at this establishment, but hunger prevailed when I should have went with my gut instincts. I ordered a basic chicken Philly with fries was told that it would be ready in 10 minutes. I returned in five.and was ignored for at least 10 minutes by the wait staff. When she recognized me, she said the food had not been sitting long but the fries were ice cold. They replaced the fries and while I waited, I ordered an apple pie. When I got to my truck. The chicken Philly I requested was actually a steak Philly. I suffered through it then I ate my apple pie, and found that it had skin in it. They didn’t peel the apples before preparing the pie....

I are there a few days ago,and everything was fine. The reason I only gave 3 stars overall, and 1 for service is b/c I wanted their food but to carry out my dinner and it clearly states carryout is available. Tried calling number listed to order, several times and the phone was not answered. So I went to the diner, 9 pm and no one was there where I could find them. Lights on, I rechecked hours of operations online, and on entrance doors. Both said closed at 10. I waited app 10 minutes for someone to enter dining room area to help me and no one appears.
