What truly sets this place apart is its unique offering of both Indian and Mediterranean cuisine—a rare and delightful combination. The menu is concise, but thoughtfully curated.
My daughter and I were on the hunt for a good dinner spot in Round Rock, but most restaurants had already closed or were about to. That’s when we stumbled upon this hidden gem, and it turned out to be a real lifesaver.
At first, we were a bit hesitant—it’s a small food truck, after all. But the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the owner, Nazim, and his wife. Their hospitality immediately put us at ease.
We started with tea and samosas, and I have to say, the tea was a perfect 10/10. For our main course, we ordered from the Mediterranean side of the menu: the Chicken Shawarma Plate and the Beef Kebab Plate—both were absolutely delicious. To our surprise, they even offered us Kibbeh on the house, which was a lovely touch.
The service was heartfelt, the food was flavorful, and the overall experience made us feel genuinely valued.
The only hiccup came on the day we were heading back home. I had called ahead to place a to-go order, but when we arrived, Nazim wasn’t there, and neither was the food. His daughter, who was present, wasn’t aware of the order, and unfortunately, we couldn’t wait for it to be prepared again due to our travel schedule.
Despite that one misstep, I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys authentic Indian and Mediterranean flavors. We’ll definitely be back the next time...
Read moreI usually go to another place but it’s far away so I went on Google in search of a chicken and beef shawarma plates. I called to see if they were open because I had never heard of them before and only 1 mile away. Let me tell you, the plates were absolutely amazing. The salad that comes with the meal was so fresh and the dressing is to die for. I substituted the hummus for their homemade tahin sauce and it also made my tastebuds dance. I’m a huge sauce girl so I also got the garlic sauce and omg - beautiful. Then to top off the dinner I got an order of baklava. The texture was perfect and the flavor out of this world. The best I’ve ever had. My only regret is I ate everything when I was going to bring half for lunch tomorrow. I couldn’t do it The food is that good I practically licked the plate. It’s a hidden gem and if you haven’t tried them yet you are missing out!! This beautiful meal came out of a food truck. I’m glad too, it’s so close I’ll be back for sure! I got so side tracked on the food that I failed to mention the excellent service. Nice people and very accommodating. See you soon!...
Read moreIt is patently obvious why this establishment has such high reviews. As someone who used to manage a mediterranean restaurant with subpar ownership, I know what to look for.
The food is fresh, made to order, timely, and something I would eat every day if my waistline would not be affected!! This is authentic food, made by a man with authentic culinary expertise, at a fair price point.
The authenticity doesn't stop at the food. The chef takes great care to treat his customers like friends; and the very first time we met, he was very compassionate regarding the hard day I had.
Don't waste your time at Kababji Grill, where tips are stolen, family members write fake reviews, and they are STILL rated 4.2 due to hour long wait times, employing only 2 people at a time, and hiring then firing immigrants, paying them 10 dollars an hour.
THIS is a food truck that is not...
