I have been a regular patron of this particular Pizza Hut for over a decade. We have done both delivery and pickup over the years. We have had almost no problems in that time frame.
Tonight was very different, my son placed an order for two large pizza's one a stuffed crust, one a hand tossed, and a melt. First we got a notice near original delivery time that it was being delivered by door dash. No biggie that has happened before when they were busy. So it took longer than was quoted to get the order. When it was delivered my son got it and didn't verify before the dasher left. When we did it was two mediums, wrong type, wrong toppings. I tried calling but no one would answer. So I grabbed the order and drove back to the store. When I got there and explained that we received the wrong order, they just put it in the holding box. (Unsafe, unsanitary, it was out of their control and opened). Yet for all I know it was given to its rightful owner. My order was pulled from the same cabinet (sealed), and was correct. When asked how this might have happened, I was told "I don't know " in a very defensive tone. I wasn't offered a refund on my delivery fee, when I had to physically return the wrong order and get the right one. I didn't receive an apology. I didn't receive an offer to make it right.
I left before I gave them an all to honest assessment of their performance. I or my family has ordered at this particular store 1-2 times a month for over a decade, spending thousands in that time. I will probably never do so again. Mistakes happen, rudeness when asked about it is...
Read moreOk, I do understand that the reason my food didn’t make it it my house was my fault. I just ordered about an hour and a half ago, and I wasn’t paying attention to my phone after I ordered,. Apparently somehow my apartment # didn’t number didn’t pop up in the address slot, whether it was me forgetting it or somehow the online form not registering it, so they called me trying to find this out and I missed the calls. About an hour went by and I realized my food wasn’t here so I checked my phone and discovered I’d missed their calls. So I replaced my order, called to apologize and make sure my info was correct. The girl who answered the phone cut me off and proceeded to tell me that they called me multiple times and texted me and they had to void my order and I said I knew and I was sorry and that it was my fault but I’d like to double check on my reorder and give her the apartment number if I did. She was EXTREMELY rude. She made sure to say “If we remake your food and have questions are you actually going to answer your phone this time and have it on?” I said yes, shocked by her brash tone. Then she told me they’d get it out in 40-50 minutes, even though I’d just submitted it online which quoted 20-30 minutes. Like they were going to purposely make me late longer. So I cancelled my order. I was fully prepared to apologize to the driver directly and had $20 set aside to compensate him for my mistake. Read moreI ordered a single pizza over the phone yesterday and I was told it will be ready in 15-20 min. I arrived at pizza hut on ustick some 15 min later, walked in, said my name and I was advised my pizza is still in the oven. At that moment I paid and stood there waiting. Some five minutes later a lady walked in, said her name and an employee took her pizza out of the little shelf all packed up and ready to go. They then asked me for my name and I provides it and they pulled my pizza from the same shelf. I was in shock as no one has put it there in the 15 minutes I was standing there with my pizza supposedly in the oven. So I asked how did that get there- no one cared to even apologize or explain or say sorry that I was standing there for 15 min even though my pizza was ready since before I walked in. Let’s just keep in mind the lady with the American accent dis not have the same problem as me. When I tried to get the attention of other employees to ask for an explanation, I was told everything from employee in training (then supervise him), new computer system (then use your eyes if you know the new system is faulty). This was a discrimination thing, I have no doubt about that, as no one else has this problem. Let understand I speak english very well, I just have a bit of a strong accent.
