For years I've heard the legendary tales of Wolf Lodge. Portions so big no one could finish them. Good so delicious you wouldn't want to eat anywhere else. Well, tonight I finally scrimped and saved enough to afford the $100 dinner for 2. What we ordered:

Fried Mushrooms Ceaser Salad Cheesy bacon soup Ribeye Steak Battered Prawns Chocolate Decadence Cake

First the absolute stars of the dinner. The baked beans. I don't know how these are cooked or what seasoning they use but these are absolutely without exception the best beams I've ever eaten.the cheesy bacon soup was amazing just the right balance of saltiness seasoning creaminess it was very good I would go back just to have these two the beans and the soup.

Now for the rest:

Fried Mushrooms, bland and just basic breaded mushrooms. The cocktail sauce with them was good but the house ranch had next to no flavor.

Ceasar salad, is there dressing on this thing? I'm pretty sure there is a pound of shredded parmesan. Maybe this slice of lemon will help, nope, now Im eating a lemon flavored chopped salad with a LOT of dry cheese on it.

Ribeye, very low fat (oddly for a ribeye). Massively over seasoned and my medium rare was cooked medium well. If you trim off the seasoned outer crust the meat itself was fantastic. As a side I chose the seasonal vegetable which was broccolini. Unfortunately the broccolini was served cold not warm, cold, it still had a good flavor but who wants cold veggies with their hot meal? They also weren't seasoned but that wasn't anything a bit of salt couldn't fix.

Battered Prawns, these were good size Prawns that unfortunately didn't have much flavor and several had raw dough on the inside. The waitress offered to have some more put on for us but once you've bitten into a doughy shrimp there is no salvaging the meal.

Chocolate decadence cake, this was very good it was extremely rich The only disadvantage was when you take the first bite it did taste a little of chocolate powder but after that things got better and it was very good.it was very reminiscing of a chocolate truffle without little bit of a powdery taste to it.

my overall opinion is for the price quality quantity of food this was a three out of five stars really just a moderate meal especially in an area where there's such an overabundance of high-end very high...

This is the place that other places wish they were, the benchmark for atmosphere, food, and service. The bartender told me that most of their employees, including the 2 bartenders I met, most of their back-of-house, and the management, has been working there for two decades or more.. That alone says something about the quality of their operation.

I had a ribeye with baked potato and my girlfriend had the lil dude with jojo potatoes. Phenomenal! The steaks were grilled perfectly and WOW the jojos!! I liked my baked potato but the jojos were the star of the show. They're deep fried and served with a sort of 'ranch style' sauce.. The bartender said he calls it 'garlic sauce' and the folks in the kitchen call it 'white sauce.' Either way it was a tasty surprise.. Made in-house and completely custom to Wolf Lodge. Speaking of tasty surprises, we each got a small cup of their baked beans included, just another little surprise bonus.

The rolls they serve here are so good. This was also a tasty surprise. Everything, literally every piece of the experience, was incredible.

One of the coolest things was the environment, you can just feel the vibe in the air. There's nothing fake about it, like when you go to a chain restaurant trying for a 'vibe.' Wolf Lodge sets the standard for this, and I wouldn't be surprised (seriously here) if some of the chain restaurants have sent their people to Wolf Lodge and/or happened upon it and decided to start a chain based off this place.. It's authentic. The people, the environment, the food.

We sat at the bar, there's two stools to the left, and it was absolutely the best spot in the place. The bartenders were so rad to chat with, exchanging stories and such. There was a big pepper grinder there as well, and of course I had to use it for fresh cracked pepper on my steak and potato! You get to control the pepper grinder.. Where else is this a possibility? Amazing experience.

One last note: the bathrooms. WOW. It's like the whole atmosphere of the place is captured in, of all places, the bathroom. Bring a pen to leave a note or well-wish...

The food was great! But the service was horrible! We have not been out to eat here for a while and our whole group was super excited to go eat the food here! We went to dinner there for my mothers b-day her first one since my father passed away this last summer so it was suppose to be very special for my family. He loved the Wolf Lodge! :( We reserved for a table of 16 which we thought was going to be enough. But then for some reason some of our group did not show unexpectedly. We were not aware until after the dinner that they had a family emergency and could not show. The hostess older lady which white/ blonde long hair and glasses (couldnt get a name) then came in the back room that we were all seated in and was extremely rude to us said that we had to move our table and have every one squeeze together into a smaller table which was no big deal but the rudeness of the hostess really upset our whole party. We have not had that rude of a hostess ever! Our service was not the great with the waitress either and since we had 11 guests there we thought we were going to be able to put our own gratuity (which it clearly states on the menu) on each of our own checks for how we thought fit for how our experiences was here at the Wolf Lodge (which was not great) but then come to find out because one of our guests ordered a to go order it counted as 12 so it was automatically added on and when we asked about it we got a very rude answer that since we ordered a to go order that counted as 12 people which we have never had happen at a restaurant before and just made our visit even worse with your facility. It put a very bad taste in our whole groups mouth and all of us agreed that were not going back for a long time! Even if we are locals!! Not a nice way at all to treat guests in a restaurant coming from someone who has worked in customer service for a long time and has been a...

Tonight, my wife and I made the 40 minute drive from Spokane Valley to Wolf Lodge Steakhouse. This was my wife’s first time here and my second. The only other time I came was over 15 years ago with my family. With it being Valentines Day weekend, we made reservations over a week in advance. When we arrived, we were seated promptly and greeted by our waitress. We didn’t catch her name but she did an amazing job. As an appetizer, we each ordered a cup of soup. Their two soups were a Cajun Creamy Potato and a Sausage Gumbo. Both were delicious, we couldn’t decide which was our favorite. For the main course, I ordered the Rancher which was a 16oz Sirloin AND a 16oz Ribeye cooked to Medium. My wife ordered a 14oz New York Strip cooked Medium. About 15-20 minutes later, our meal came out accompanied with salad and loaded baked potatoes. The steaks were cooked to our liking and had a nice smoky flavor. All three steaks hit the spot and we were very pleased. Our waitress was friendly and quick. She made sure we understood the menu and what each cut of meat was. She always made sure our drinks (water and beer) were full. The atmosphere was enjoyable as well. Rustic and welcoming. If you enjoy steak and haven’t been here, you must come for a meal. I highly recommend the Wolf Lodge Steak House and will be definitely going back soon.

Friends have been hyping this place for probably a decade. I went in hoping for the best but prepared to be underwhelmed. I was wrong. First of all, the atmosphere is like enjoying dinner at an old western ski lodge. Very homey and not cramped. Noise level was very good for a packed house and we had no trouble visiting. We started with apps, including the potato skins, stuffed mushrooms and poutine. All three were flavorful and arrived hot. My Caesar salad was delicious. The Ribeyes (all of us got the same) came maybe on the rare side of our individual preference but nobody complained. The steak is melt in your mouth tender and super flavorful. Top four all time for me behind The Ringside in Portland, St. Elmo's in Indianapolis, and Laurelhurst Market in Portland. We shared an order of the bread pudding for dessert and everyone raved. Overall a great experience and worth the trip.
