Airport Steakhouse — Restaurant in Illinois

The food was good...The wife ordered taco salad. I ordered the elephant ear breaded tenderloin with fries and a salad with an appetizer of fried mushrooms and the wife had mozzarella stick, all very amazing but when it came to the service, it sucked. Was there thirty minutes before our order was taken the appetizers came out after the fact the food came out.Didn't ask if we wanted refills. observed Every single one of the staff catering to locals and ignoring the new faces. And they expected a tip. Wasn't even greeted and welcomed by the owner. As most businesses owner when they observe someone new walk into their establishment, they will greet you, not this one. Instead, she chased me down outside and said (the sirver)she was only 16, and that was very rude of me, not to leave a tip.well let me tell ya I don't care if your 16 or60 if you give bad service your not going to be tip to expect a tip for bad service. As a former employee that they will not give me my last check I found this restaurant unexceptable when I watch a boss drop food on the ground an pick it up saying five second rule and serve it to a paying customer. Not some thing I would appreciate sure don't know what really goes on there but maybe they should be taught that some things GS are not all right to do and maybe they need to be showen the right way to run a business was at my job everyday except the one day was sick and showed up ALWAYS. We flew in for lunch. Told to seat ourselves, which we did. Plenty room at that time. Place did fill up with local patrons a bit later. Friend had the Elephant Ear pork tenderloin sandwich. He said it was excellent. He had to cut away and eat some of the meat as, being an elephant ear, was WAY beyond the size of the bun! I had a grilled chicken sandwich. Prices were more than reasonable, esp for size and amount of each serving. As it got busier, service decreased. Had to go up to cashier counter to get bill after being told she would bring it to us.
