What can I say about the Users Center? I am not an employee of Fermilab, but fell upon the users center one afternoon while birdwatching on their spacious and beautiful open lands. I am eternally grateful to be embraced by many diverse , funny and intelligent, (of course ) employees of Fermilab who I now call my friends. The users center is open to all but mostly frequented by residents and employees of Fermi. It's a Center for Users, primarily those who happen to be employees of Fermilab, although if you are lucky enough to have such a companion, you may join as well. Cozy, nostalgic, and a quaint reminder of the early 70s, the User Center houses several couches, a small restaurant, and very reasonably priced bar where the booze is always flowing. We went here for a paint nite and had a lot of fun. The facility is certainly fitting for a campus like fermilab. Don't expect a modern pub, but rather an environment down to earth where top international scientist come to ponder on new theories in high energy physics. Prices are expected very reasonable and the staff is friendly, without trying too hard. The private room is also perfect for a paint nite and the local beer selection leaves no craving unanswered.
