Honest Abe's Tap & Grill — Restaurant in Illinois

Normally the food and service are on point, but tonight not so much. The waitress started off by telling us what they were out of: fries, tater tots, chicken tenders, grilled chicken, philly steak, soup and I can't remember the rest of the list. We then waited over 45 minutes for our food. There were only 4 other occupied tables. The waitress never came to check on our table, but Adam the bartender did. When we were the only table left we asked if there was a problem as our waitress was walking past our table. Her response was the kitchen is doing their best. When she started to bring our food out which it took almost 10 minutes to bring out food for 8 people 2 of which were salads and the last one the 2 year olds an order of mac n cheese. Surprisingly half the meals were ice cold. We didn't have enough silverware so we asked our waitress for another set. She never came back, so I went to the bar and once again Adam helped us out. Did a pick up order for dinner 2 nights ago, haven't ate here in awhile so decided to get it. Ordered a yankee chicken with fries and double hamburger with grilled onions. Chicken sandwich was just ok, waffle fries sucked, and they put cheese on the hamburger. Whole reason I chose a double HAMBURGER over a CHEESEBURGER so there's no cheese. My boyfriend is allergic to dairy so he was only able to eat the 1 patty not completely covered in cheese. We don't live in Morris so wasn't going to drive all the way back, but I did send an email requesting a refund and they haven't said anything/ignored it. Can't stand that. Not happy and won't ever eat here again.

Edit: response from owner was nice, but whoever found my boyfriends email and emailed him was rude saying my review was harsh. We are allowed to be upset with our order being wrong/not being satisfying. We also shouldn't have to worry about our order but we do almost everywhere we go. I do not know why this place has the rating it does. We were in the area and the original place we were going to was closed along with the other places being completely packed. So we decided to go here. The first warning should have been that the establishment was dirty. The food was mediocre at best. My burger was over done. The chicken tenders were over cooked and over seasoned with salt. The service was tremendously terrible. We had to continuously ask for additional drinks as the bar tender disappeared for extended periods of time. Upon arrival of the appetizer we had to wait for an expo employee, who wasn’t even working behind the bar, to request napkins and silverware as I watched the bar tender pouring her own drinks. We were never asked how the food was and there was an additional charge for utilizing a credit/debit card, which of course was not explained prior to paying the tab.
