Inn Between Tavern — Restaurant in Illinois

Myself and some coworkers went into this bar on Saturday to have some wings. My coworker is Hispanic. My other coworker is a black gentleman, and I am a white woman when we walked in we noticed a sign that said must be 16 years, which was very strange due to the fact that it was a bar and had gambling machines, but not unheard of. When we walked in everyone in the bar stopped and stared at us. My Hispanic coworker asked if they had menus the man I would say gentleman, but he was not a gentleman behind the bar said I might if you have an ID I and my black coworker did not hear what he said to her. She walked over and said he wants ID as we were reaching for our IDs he’s slamming his hands down on the bar and says ID now come on let’s do this. let’s go very very rude FYI, my Hispanic coworker is 38. My black coworker is 34 and I am 53. We had no problem showing ID what we did have a problem was the slamming of the hands and demanding ID by pounding his hands on the bar. They made us feel very very uncomfortable almost like they do not want different nationalities in their bar, I would not recommend this bar to anyone we got up...

Shari is a new bartender there and for her age she is amazing!!! She even cooks and makes drinks and handles the registar.. Without any sign of annoyance.. I dont know how she does it... Shes also so bubbly and honestly if your looking for a friend, and great company you can only find it at inn between cause shes there brightning the place up with her outgoing personality.. So the owner of this place and mangers must be the smartest darn peoples in the 🇺🇸 cause they sure do no how to hire great ppl!! Cheers and applause...
