Pat's BBQ & Catering — Restaurant in Illinois

On 6-9-20 I picked up a meal at the drive thru that I had called in earlier. The container felt very light to me, I was going to check it but it was taped shut so I drove on home. Once home and opening the container it looked like a meal for a toddler. The beans(mostly juice) and slaw was only about 3 T each and the sandwich barely had any sauce on it. I called to complain and spoke with a woman that seemed to not take me serious. She took my name and address and told me she would mail me a coupon, it has been over a week and I still haven’t received anything. I am not happy paying $10 for a meal that didn’t even have normal portions with it and then NOT being taken serious about filling my order. I have a picture of the food if anyone...

I've been meaning to try pat's for awhile and finally stopped by for dinner and it was great! This is a no frills place that has very good bbq. I lived in memphis previously and this is definitely one of the better spots for bbq in the area! We went 30 minutes before closing time so most of the meats were sold out so I'll have to come back soon. I had a pulled pork sandwich platter with mac and cheese and pasta salad and it was delicious! The bbq sauce was spot on and is tangy and not too sweet. My husband enjoyed the vinegar based cole slaw and the potato salad was very good as well. They also do catering and have an extensive catering menu. I do want to say that the staff is very friendly and treated us well. The food was lackluster unfortunately. We ordered the loaded nachos (brisket) and an order of wings with green beans and mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was decently good. The green beans were a tad mushy and just not my style. The wings were OK flavorwise but had a lot of sauce and it really overpowered the taste of the meat. The nacos were not the best either. The chips were on the stale side and the brisket may not have been the best topping to pick. This may have been a case of not knowing what to order, but I was disappointed in the combination of price point with quality of product. Hope this is a once...
