I went there once, the first time, for taco Tuesday and it was really good. No complaints. Service was awesome. Several weeks later I went back on a Friday night. It was busy but things were still moving along. My party had already been there for an hour by the time I got there. Once I sat down and eventually got a pop, it took 25 minutes for our order to be taken. After about a half hour we started to wonder where our food was. Our waitress came back and said she'd check. Said it shouldn't be much longer. Another half hour later a man stopped by and asked how things were going. We mentioned how it had been an hour and we still didn't have our food. He said he'd go check. At that point our waitress had come back and said your food still isn't here?! Let me go check on that. They both came back and said it would be just a few more minutes. Another 10 or so minutes go by and a table next to us that had just sat down got an appetizer. Other tables were getting their food. I stopped a waitress walking by and asked to talk to the manager. He finally came over and I told him we'd been waiting over an hour for our food while everyone else around us was getting food. And they had just sat down. He was totally disinterested in anything I had to to say. He offered no solution except for saying would I like to cancel my order. Out of frustration, I finally said I guess so. At least our waitress had offered us a free drink for the wait, even though I wasn't drinking that night. Our waitress was very apologetic and tried to do what she could in order to make things right but by that point, nothing could be done. I was the only one to say I wanted to cancel my order and they never brought my friend's food out either. I honestly believe that our ticket was never even put in and nothing was done about it. We left after 2 hours without eating a single thing and after being plied with alcohol the whole time. I'm disgusted with how we were treated, especially by the manager. That is not the way to treat...
Read moreI’m giving 2 stars because usually the food is decent and everything is ok. But this last time… there were a lot of issues. Issues that made us concerned for our party’s health. I’ve thought about that and really think it should be posted.
We decided to try 15th street tavern for their Mother’s Day brunch because we usually like their food and are always here but it was AWFUL.
There were a total of 7 of us. For $39.99 per person, we at least expected the food to be warm but nope. Biscuits and gravy, eggs, potatoes, bacon, pancakes (burnt), and French toast (burnt) were all Ice cold...Like out of the freezer cold. We let the waitress know and she talked to a manager named Sam. He brought out more and said “I got it myself so it should be hot”. Nope. Still ice cold which we could tell before he even walked away because the gravy was congealed and the plate wasn’t even warm. If the Heath department would have walked in, this place would have been shut down and absolutely should have. Food temps (especially with anything dairy or chicken based) are extremely easy to get sick on if temps aren’t correct. The waitresses don’t know what they are doing when it comes to omelette station at all. We went to the station and were told to leave and go back to the table until we had a slip; well we were never told we needed a slip. Also the people serving the buffet are just yelling at each other and yelling at people to “get back” from the food area when we had no idea where we were going or suppose to go. After 6 times trying to get at least hot food, we gave up. A manager never came over to apologize or anything. Then when we get our bill….. Which is INSANE the amount we paid for ice cold food. Oh and they add an unknown 18% gratuity that no one ever mentions until you get your bill. We specifically asked about this before booking and was told no,...
Read moreWe were out looking at homes and saw 15th Street Tavern. We never heard of it before so we thought we would try it for a late lunch. Well it’s no wonder we never heard of it before, because it’s nothing to brag about. Actually it was horrible.
It’s a nice building and venue but that’s where the good news ends. The place is big and nice but hardly anyone there on a Sunday and the Lions on TV. Now we know why.
The ice water has a funky taste. We ordered the Southwest EggRolls as an appetizer and they were ok. I ordered a burger cooked medium with coleslaw as a side. The “medium “ burger was very rare but I ate it. The coleslaw was horrible and I told our server that it was bad. My wife ordered the ground beef nacho. It was a huge serving but extremely greasy and tasted horrible. The server checked on us every time she walked by and took the coleslaw off our bill. There were a lot of flies around and even people at the tables near us were swatting flies away too. When it came time to pay our tab, the server stood by our table entering information on the hand held device you pay on. She finally had it set the way she wanted and handed to me to make payment. I noticed she had set the tip amount to 28%. I normally start with 20% and adjust up or down depending on the service that was provided but because she set it at 28% I set it down to 10%. She warded 20% but not 28, so she got 10.
Nice building and atmosphere but food was the worst I’ve had in a very long time. Server shouldn’t have tried to set me up to pay 28% tip.
I’ll never go back there and would not recommend them. If you do go ya better check what the...
